The Kenwood KDC-MP335 is an aftermarket car radio that's available for many cars and trucks. The radio unit comes with a built-in digital clock. If your clock is showing the wrong time, all you need to do is enter the radio's clock-setting mode to correct the time and set the clock.------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi my Honda CR-V 97 not enough power to hold memory and clock wont hold time ether and resets ever time I restart the car yours very confused

The stereo should have two 12v wires; one is switched power and the other is always on 12v power.

The memory needs always on power since there is no internal battery to remember presets.

My 01 civic wont keep memory everytime i turn it off it resets the clock and stereo

It sounds like the keep alive wire has either become disconnected or it was never hooked up. In most cases it is a yellow cable on aftermarket car stereos

1992 honda civic stereo and clock don't work whats wrong?

Yeah, the ground. ALWAYS, make sure the ground is good. When that switch was cut out, the ground was disconnected also. That's why the stuff don't work and and the chronometer resets and is dim. ALWAYS check the ground before ANYTHING else is done.

CLOCK RESETS TO 1200 EVERYTIME THE CAR IS TURNED OFF

There needs to be a constant power wire for the clock in order for the clock to keep time. You are losing power completely when you shut off the engine. Changed your battery lately or had a car stereo installed?

Cd changer not playing

Check fuses. There are two fuses to this stereo. One that hold memory for the clock and stereo preset buttons and one for turning the stereo on. There are usually two fuse boxes, on inside the vehicle and one under the hood near the car's battery. Again, check ALL fuses. One is usually labeled for the radio/stereo, the other is not.
As for the CD changer, disconnect one of the main car battery terminals for several minutes. This is easier then removing the changer and acts as a reset. Possibley bringing the changer back to working condition. Otherwise, this could be a repair issue, see www.carstereohelp.com

Stereo

It is the wire that has 12 volts when the key is off, use a test lite or volt meter to test this.
