SOURCE: screen went black on my 42" sanyo model dp42647 lcd

Hi there! The panel may be in protection mode. The Inverter board is the most logical area to start after checking power supply Voltages.(5,6,24 and 13Volts). There may be coils on the Inverter Board which have bad soldering or faulty. Other than this it may be main board which controls switch on or off. If all else fails, refer to a repairer. Ur Tuner Signal board it dead,must replaced this board.

Sanyo plasma tv screen is black and theres no sound, but the green light is on.

No sound and no video is usually means the main board is bad. Green power indicated power supply might be OK.

Green tint

It sounds like the color wheel has gone bad and needs to be replaced. This is located behind the back panel... replacing a new colour wheel will solve ur problem

I have a red and green bar rolling across my screen

call HP case management 877-917-4380, tell them you want this fixed and be firm. They are being very helpful with my problem and keep sending parts until it's fixed , all free of charge with tech at my house

Vertical lines across my entire screen

My 42" Samsung Plasma HDTV HP-R4252 has a 2" vertical strip of green pixels down the right side of the screen.

My 3 year warranty with Circuit City expires in Nov 2008.. so I hope I'm covered.. can't call until the morning.

Samsung said it might be a logic board problem.. but they want almost $2000 to fix. I might as well buy another TV if Circuit City can't fix it.
