Back-light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

I have a jvc television and bought a universal remote. i dont know the code for the remote. do you know the code?

These are the steps on how to program your Universal Remote Control to your JVC TV even without the list of code.

1. Manually turn ON your TV.
2. Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH
3. Press and release the TV button you want to set up
4. Release CODE SEARCH.
5. Press OFF/ON repeatedly until the TV turns off (you may have to press up to 100 times at a rate of once per second).
6. Once the TV turns off, press and release ENTER.
7. With the TV on, press any other button. If the TV responds, no further programming is required. If the TV does not respond, repeat steps 1-6.

No manual

Make sure you have audio out from TV plugged into receiver. I have both Logitech 520 and JVC. It could also be in your setup of the remote.
