Digitech RP 90 foot switch is not working

I have a digitech RP 90 effects pedal but recently one of the foot switches just stopped working. It doesn't move the LED number on the screen when I press it but the other one works fine. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I removed the back cover, unscrewed the two (of 4) screws holding down the circuit board, replaced them again, and it worked fine.

Check out the little switch under the foot switch. It's a little button type switch that the big lever you hit with your foot is activating. make sure it's being contacted correctly. Also check the solder joints on the PCB directly below the switch. Good Luck.

This should be a simple fix. The tactile switches are available from Digitech or any online parts supplier. As previously stated, check the switch first with a multimeter. You can also try cleaning the switches. Take tweezers or pliers and lift the small piece of metal from the top of the switch and spray some contact cleaner to the inside of the switch. This sometimes fixes the switches. If you are gigging with the pedal, get a new switch to be safe.

I have a problem with a Digitech Vocalist Live 3, see below for details

It's possible that the Harmony foot switch has become damaged or faulty. One thing you could try is to unplug the pedal from power, disconnect the footswitch from the unit, and then reconnect it to see if that resolves the issue. If that doesn't work, it could be a more serious issue that requires repair or replacement of the footswitch. You may want to try contacting Digitech customer support to see if they have any troubleshooting suggestions or if they can provide guidance on where to find a service agent in your area.

When I power my Digitech RP350 guitar Effects Pedal comes on, them immediately shuts down.

Question edited for full 'make model (what it is)' and spelling.

Same answer as I gave you yesterday, but let me explain a little more fully. Electronic items like thins can only be diagnosed by opening them up and testing components. Do you know what a 'blown' or split capacitor looks like, or what a dry joint on a printed circuit board looks like and how to test? We they do and they also have as much as $10,000 of test equipment. There is no 'single reason' why this is happening to your unit, as it could be many things.

It seems to have issues and because of that was discontinued. Take it to your local music store, they will know an electronics engineer that they can recommend based on previous work.

My digitech rp 500 has power supply but it won't

Make sure you have the OFFICIAL Digitech power adapter. Universal adapters or those for MOST other pedals will NOT work... things may light up but you will NOT get audio. This unit requires an adapter supplying 9 VAC (not DC) at about 1 amp. These AC output adapters are not very common and people get the units without an adapter and try using universal adapters and they do not work. An AC adapter is used by Digitech so they can generate both plus and minus voltages internally. I don't know what your utility power voltage is in Cebu, so you need to get an adapter for your voltage that will give 9 VAC output and fit the power jack on the unit.

The foot pedal (not the switches) on my "DigiTech RP90 Modeling Guitar Processor does not work...it will move but it changes nothing.

All DigiTech expression pedals use an optical system instead of potentiometers.

Either the light is broke, or the filter.

The filter protrudes from the bottom of the pedal, and is darker at the top and gradually fades to clear at the bottom. If this breaks off, then there's nothing to limit the amount of light to the optical system.

If it is the light, then you'll have to have it serviced by someone qualified to work on it. Your local music shop should be able to help you out.

Hope that helps!

I was using my digitech vocalist live 2 pedal during a gig 3 days ago and about 2 songs in, everytime i touched any part of the pedal or pressed the harmony on/off switch to activate the harmonys, the...

Yeah I have an idea... It is likely static electric discharge. At this time of the year we get zapped touching metal things and it also drives electronics nuts... You don't even have to feel it to get zapped.

Try using in your bare feet and see if it fusses... We had a lady vocalist wearing those ugg boots and caused static pops in her microphone... anyway try the test and if it fixes the problem, then look up Staticide spray... You can get it at Amazon.com for example... spray floor in the area you are playing on to kill the static.

The only other thing is to check if wiggling the power input plug causes the problem. Those plugs are notorious for poor connections when they wear.

Digitech rp6

Try contacting their service center rep at (801)566-8800. They might send you a schematic for the pedal if you explain your situation. They do recommend using the original power supply PS0912 which should still be available. Hope this helps.
