SOURCE: I was cleaning life fitness 9500 hr with an acid

I'm sorry to say that using the acid base solution destroyed your function pad and will need to replace. Any clean must be done with simple green or warm gentle soapy water. Contact Life Fitness1-800-351-3737 or Nation Gym Supply 1-800-496-7278 give Model and Serial Numbers. Either company will help you.

SOURCE: replacement console

Unplug unit then remove the upper console, their are 4 allen bolts holding it udder the console their is a panel held by 4 phillips head screws also remove them . Look inside the compartment and their should be two connections, disconnect them. Now pull console off its tower. Lay it upside down on a thick towel remove all phillip head screws you'll notice where the emergency stop button is connected. I have found that this connection 7 out of 10 times is causing the problem. Buy cutting the lead connector stripping the wires and soldering back on the male connection will resolve the problem. If not their is a emergency stop kit may be purchased and replace. The only other thing that may cause the problem is the function key pad itself. Try the first solution if your not good in soldiering go to a computer shop , t v shop they should be able to do this very quickly for while your at let the check the switch itself.

SOURCE: life fitness 9500 is shocking users? help?

Hi, there is a service bulletin for this problem.
1) perform a continuity test on the power cord between the earth pin at the plug and any exposed metalwork of the treadmill (say an exposed bolt). If you get a reading of less than 1ω - that is good. If higher than this, try another part of the treadmill or trace the cause.
2) Ensure the Power outlet has a good ground - Your electrician could verify this for you.
The most common problems are static buildup on the Striding belt caused by users wearing polyester and scuffing their feet as they are running. This causes static buildup which gets discharged through the user when they come into contact with the treadmill frame.

SOURCE: What's your problem?I have a life fitness 9100 hr I have a problem how do I clear the message waxer tank empty?

see this step and fix it. God bless you
Unplug the treadmill. Locate the console key and place the safety or reset key into the treadmill console. Replace any parts that need replacing, or move on to the next step.

  • 2 Locate the reset switch on the underside of the treadmill console. Usually the button is large enough to trigger with a pencil eraser or Q-tip. Plug the treadmill plug back into the wall. Use the Q-tip to press the reset button. It may be necessary to hold the reset button down for a few seconds. "CL11" will appear in the display of the treadmill.
  • 3 Press the reset button one more time with the Q-tip. "CL21" should appear on the screen. Press the enter key. The display will change again and show "CL22." Keep pressing the enter key until the numbers cycle through to the number "CL26." Press enter one more time. The letter E should appear on the display screen.
  • 4 Press enter twice more. The letters "SS" should appear on the screen. When this happens, press the start/stop key. Making sure to keep well away from the tread, press enter to start the treadmill. The treadmill will start on its own. The treadmill will stop on its own after a few seconds. When it stops, press the power key two times. Remove the safety key and put in a safe place. Your treadmill is reset.

I changed the 6 volt battery when i connect the battery leads and used machine i press clear/pause button it will start again. I have to disconnect the battery to turn it off

If no key is pressed for 15 seconds, and the user stops pedaling, the console shuts down. You can also do the same when starting the machine, just step on the pedals to get them moving and the console should light up.

    9500 hr elliptical

Sounds like you have a Life Fitness machine, not a Precor. If it does not light up, check the battery - should be in bottom front of the machine.
