Cycle will not start

I have an issue that hopefully someone can help with. My washer just start having this issue. The issue that I have seen is when i start a load i hear the process, then nothing happens, but if i unplug the washer from the power and plug it back in with a few seconds, the process starts to fill as if it's going to run the cycle, however after about 5 seconds, it stops. I can unplug and replug the power and the process starts again. Would it be an issue with a power regulator or a controller board?

I have had this same problem. The tech that fixed it said the "sump" was clogged. Ive read several posts that seem to support this. It sounds like a simple self fix, but im not wanting to tear the thing open. Soooo a repairman it is for me. good luck

SOURCE: frigidiare washer not doing anything

Before replacing check the voltage to the machine. Make sure the machine is not on any extension cord.when the machine is turned on make sure the voltage doesn't drop more than a few volts.

SOURCE: frigidaire washer starts to fill then stops

Check the water level fill sensor. Some used to be pneumatic tubes connected to a sensor. Your washer may have a different type of sensor. It seems like it fills ant gets to a point where it expects the fill sensor to trip but instead just stops. Also re check ALL connections to main drive motor.
Also verify your mains power can handle the draw of the rated wattage. When it goes to engage the main drive motor it may not have enough current from the mains and simply stops.
Also check that the connection to the tumbler drum is not frozen.

SOURCE: Frigidaire Affinity Washer beeps & won't spin

The drain filter is clogged. I had the same problem. There is a filter inside the "drain boot" (black) that comes from the drum to the drain pump. Mine was completely clogged with money, lint, etc..

Hi everyone, my Kenmore 970-c94812 stackable washer-dryer won't spin on washing cycle..!

Pretty much the same cause for all washers, just not exactly the same one as yours. Probably have to lean it over carefully to get under it to get to the coupler. https://youtu.be/_fHoAjOmHDU hope this helps

Wdd960 f13 error code

you could have a problem with the fill valve, shut the water supply off, remove the hoses from the back of washer and mark them so you put them back the same way, stick the hoses into the washer or a bucket and turn the water on,if water comes out of hoses you'll know it's the washer and not the house water valve.if water comes out look into the washer valve where the hoses connect,if you see alot of junk on the screens change the water valve.i want to tell you that i haven't worked on this machine yet,i looked up your error code and it sounds like you're having water issues from what i've read, there's a tech sheet in the washer sometimes down near the bottom cover or taped onto the side wall,it will have all the error codes and tell you how to run the machine in a diagnostics mode to check everything in it,also next time you write in send the full model number off of the machine you're having problems with so whoever is trying to help you can look up your machine, usually you open the door and look around the opening where the door closes in and you should see a tag with the model and serial numbers.hope this helps, best thing to do is find the tech sheet and run it in diagnostics

Lights flashing on Hotpoint BHWM129

I had a similar problem with my Hotpoint BHWM 129 washing machine. The washer would not spin or drain properly and all the lights flashed after a wash cycle.
The solution was to pull the washer out and UNBLOCK the drain pipe which was crushed AND filled with 'gunk'. Once the crushed pipe was massaged back to normal size and the gunk was removed my problem was fixed. Not a nice job but I was going to ring HOTPOINT at £125 a call out fee so I am happy. I hope this helps someone else in time.

Washing machine makes a loud whining noise when in high speed spin that it has not made before. Noise seems to come from the soap inlet tube.

usually when a front load washer starts making noise in the spin cycle it's not good, most of the time it's from the owner using to much detergent,it eats the spider gear and then it's time for a new washer, the gear costs around 500 bucks, next it will start to bang around and get real loud,i've seen the rubber boot get ripped off because it bangs all around,if you're using alot of detergent most likely this is the start of your problem, when you read the back of the bottle the measurements are for a top load washer not a front load so you better check that, also you could have a broken shock, also you can pull the middle of the pump out and check to see if there are any filings in there,i've seen that before.put it on high spin and listen to it,if it sounds like a knocking sound don't waste your money and call someone in,change out the washer and watch the cd that comes with it and use less detergent,i hope this isn't your problem but when the noise comes from the spin cycle it's usually the spider gear.

Cold cycle does not work

hey thats crazy.anyway first things first.water passes through the fill valve.in the valve[ where the black fill hoses attach to your washer] are screens that stop minerals from going into the valve itsself and blocking up the valve internaly.i know its going tobe tough[trust me i've done 100s]but its how your complaint is solved 99 out of 100 times.you turn off the water remove the cold hose and clean the cold fill screen.also while the hose is off flush it into a bucket or the washer tub[wont hurt a thing]make sure you put the screen back into the valve.so next time valve wont get harmed.if the screen is clean and you have water at the cold facuet at the washer.you could have a bad valve.that would be a voltage check.we wont go there now.if you still need help you can email me thru fixya.hope this helps. God bless ,tom

Washer pauses at various points in all cycles

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too. Refer to your users' manual to find where the filter is, etc.

Rate me pl.....if helped. Click on 'thanks for trying' if not helped, your prob will be back for someone else to solve.
