Brother FAX T74 problem sends black page, copies black page

My brother FAX T74 problem sends completly black page, copies completly black page only. I did clean the scanner, also the print part: does not help. The machine can receive fax, can print reports. Only sends and copies with this problem.
I also tried to start a copy and take the source paper away from the begining. The result is a white paper wit a black horisontal line (I think from that part when the copy started and there was a source paper).

Black pages
Try to copy a document. If the copy comes out black then the the scanner is dirty. Clean the scanner glass (products on the market that clean by sending through the scanner) and try to copy again. If after cleaning the scanner, the copy is still black you have a scanner issue and the laser/scanner unit will need replacement. My brother fax machine - only receives black pages
do a quick check on 2 things.
- Copy a document(put a printed page on document feeder and press Copy button) , has the Copy come ok? if copy is also blank that means toner/ink problem, needs to be replaced.

- check with your Fax receive Print settings. is any setting of econo mode/ contrast/brightness Off the track? If found any of such issue then Reset it or put it on average (middle).

2 inch vertical solid band on right side when making a copy
There is probably dirt or ink on the scanner glass, this would affect both copying and sending faxes.

Here is a link to the manual and a description on page 74 showing how to clean the glass.

Want to change its language from Norweign to English
i hope that you have the manual, it should tell you how to change the language when you do a machine set up, press menusey button and start scrolling throgh the different menu good luck

When we copy on our 4750e fax it comes out with black page
Can you see light from the scanner unit with you make a copy or try to send out faxes? The bulb for the scanner may be burnt. You might be able to find a replacement bulb, search google or contact Brother.
