My asus transformer tf300 won't turn on

The screen remains blank after holding down the on/off button and that coupled with the volume rocker but the charging light is green.

when I click the button, the machine will only remain on standby for appx 1 minute it then closes down completely and I have to restart each time (a real pain). I've tried changing the settings so the screen remains on but no matter what I do it keeps shutting down. how do I fix this?

It is possible you got into APX mode (for transferring files with the device not in the OS using NVFlash. Great if you bricked a device). This mode is Hold VOL UP and tap POWER. In this case, you can try to use the Reset Hole on the left side of the Asus TF300 (between the microHDMI and microSD card). Try it for 3-5 seconds. Another thing you could do is hold the power button for 30 seconds, release, hold it for 3 seconds and see if it boots.

The last thing you could do is hold VOL DOWN and POWER for about 12-15 seconds until some small text appears in the top left.

To person who can't start their asus tablets from cold. Try plugging your charger into it before you switch it on. The extra little boost from the charger often gives it a bit of a "kick"and off it goes, it does open.

This may work for other brands of tablets. Worth a try!

I have the same problem. My ASUS TF300 won't turn on despite the green light showing. If none of the fixes worked, is there anything else I can do?

How do I increase the volume on my Asus tablet?

Which tablet? What OS? What line?
Transformers usually have a volume rocker beside the power button, if memory serves.

How do i reset my asus transformer tablet''i have a blank screen will not turn on

I had a similar problem with my Asus transformer TF101b tablet. First I charged the tablet for three hours. Then while it was still connected to the power source I held down the power button for about 30 seconds. Once I let up on the power button it took about five seconds and the tablet powered on. It took about two minutes for it to boot up and finally get to the home screen.

How do i reset my asus transformer tablet tf101 i have a blank screen will not turn on

Perform a soft or hard reset on your Asus Eee Pad Transformer Android tablet if it is not functioning correctly. Here's how.

Soft Reset

You would want to soft reset the device in the event that it has become frozen or unresponsive. To do so, press and hold the Power button on the top-left side of the device for about 10 seconds until the device powers off.

Hard Reset

A hard reset (also known as a factory reset) will clear all data and settings from the memory of the device and set it back to factory default settings. You can perform hard reset on the Asus Eee Pad using the Android OS menus or the hardware buttons.
Method 1 1. Power the Eee Pad off.
2. Press and hold the Volume Down button on the left side of the device, then press and hold the Power button.
3. Continue to hold both buttons until a bootloader screen appears.
4. Wait for the prompt that says to "Press <VOL_UP>" then press the Volume Up button to start the process.
The Asus Eee Pad will complete the hard reset process and reboot into a factory default state.
Method 2 1. Open the Settings app.
2. Select Privacy.
3. Choose Factory data reset.
4. Select Erase tablet.
5. Select Erase everything.

Too many pattern attempts

You'll need to do a factory reset:
1. With the device off, press and hold Volume Up and Power.
2. Release the Power button when you see the logo, but continue to hold Volume Up until the recovery screen appears.
3. Use the Volume buttons to navigate the menu and select wipe data / factory reset. Press Home to choose the selection.
4. Press Volume Up continue.

This will reset you device to factory settings, however anything on your SD card will still remain.
At this point you will need to start fresh as if you just bought the device -- register with your email address, etc.

My ASUS Transformer will not power on

1. Make sure it is charged. If the battery is dead you may need to leave it plugged in for a few minutes before it will turn on.
2. Hold the power button down for at least 10 seconds. This may bring it back to life if it didn't shut down properly.
3. Make sure no other buttons are stuck down (volume up or down). If another button is stuck down the power button won't work.
