I have a bunker hill 62483 recorder box and i cant get video to work screen says video loss im using a swann pro-t853 cam

It may likely be a mismatch in camera and DVR technology. Since the HD over coaxial cable cameras hit the market, there have been many protocols of HD cameras. SDI, TVI, CVI and AHD are the 4 using their technology. Hikvision and Dahua, the 2 largest manufacturers of CCTV now make their DVRs cross compatible with all protocols except SDI which is Korean and was the first. SDI is kind of dying a slow ***** due to the other less costly versions of HD cameras. Their DVRs detect the protocol and make it work automatically. There is also the analog or non-HD which is not compatible with the HD. So if you have different protocols and you are using low grade manufacturers that don't allow cross compatibility, then that is the issue. These lower tier manufacturers like Bunker Hill and Swann don't even tell you the protocol on their spec sheets most likely. This also causes confusion for end users and even techs like me. So my recommendation would be to call the manufacturer and see if they will tell you their dark secret about which protocol they use. They usually won't or the tech support will not even know. My advice is to switch to a better manufacturer.

Is Swann PRO-1080FLD camera compatible with my TECHview 8 CH AHD 720P DVR Model No QV - 3147 DVR. Compatible Recorders: DVR-4575, DVR-4580

No its not. You might get it display an image but will probably be black and white as the resolution on the cam is higher than the supported resolution on the dvr

I have a swann view security system ,,and something not working cause it only says mode not supported ,,,,, how do you fix this

Have you tried a hammer? Kidding!!! Usually this is a conflict in resolution between the DVR and the TV. You may need to lower the resolution of the TV for the particular input you are using. You may have a 1080P TV and a 720P DVR. Once they match, the issue should be resolved.

How to factory reset swann dvr4200

You need to contact the seller. SWANN does not make their own DVRs and it could be a variety of manufacturers who all have different reset methods.

DVR keeps rebooting after a few minutes

Hard drive failure. Open the case, unplug power wire from hard drive. Power on the system. If everything works except recording, then you have fried hard drive. Replace it, format it, and you are back to normal.

Good luck.
