Manual for Smash Brand Watch 05-0407

Having reset the time to Australian time the watch seemingly of its' own accord reverts to Hong Kong time. The model has mode and reset on the left and light and st/stp on the right. The manual could just as well be the manual to make a satellite it is of very little use. I know it isn't an expensive model but it is very disappointing and I hope that you can help us with this problem. With thanks
Regards Val Myers in Oz.

You need to reset your watch completely and to do that, you have to start from battery.
Extract watch battery completely and leave your watch without energy supply for an hour. This will erase any data kept in watch memory.
Then put the battery back in watch exactly the way it was and reset your watch using your manual.
Unfortunately I can't help with manual as the original is the best you can get.

How to exchange leather straps for almost any watch brand

Most of the people are pretty sure that when their watch leather straps are worn out they have to replace them with new ones, made by exactly the same brand as their watch brand is. This is completely wrong. About 95% of all watch brand models can be fitted with leather straps from any watch strap producer without loosing brands identity. All you have to do is: 1. Release the strap from the watch; 2. Measure the width of the strap where the spring bar (pin) goes through and write it down or memorize it; 3. Undo the buckle/clasp; 4. Measure the width of strap in place where the buckle/clasp was fitted and write it down or memorize it; 5. Measure the length of the strap (both parts together) and write it down or memorize it. Now you have everything you need for strap replacement. Visit any shop selling leather straps or even find it on the internet. You will find thousands of different colours, patterns and leather variations. The choice is yours. Just one thing to remember: The strap you are buying must match all the measurements you took of your original strap. This is not difficult to match, as the watch straps usually are made to global standards. When you have your new strap delivered, just fit it to your watch and undo the buckle/clasp that came with it. Fit your old, original buckle/clasp on to the new strap and you are done. Most watch manufacturers impress, engrave or laser engrave their logos on buckles/clasps, not on the leather straps itself. So, when you fit the original buckle/clasp on brand new strap of different make, it becomes the original strap of the watch you own. And nobody knows that the strap is, for example, from Hong Kong, but watch is from Switzerland (except you, of course} as they look together as one nicely designed piece and the buckle/clasp works as the proof of identity. In case if your watch has some unusually shaped fixing for the strap, this shape can be easily cut in to the strap by modellers scalpel. At the very end I just want to remind to all readers: Watch straps sold under watch brand names are 2-10 times more expensive. In fact - they are not produced by watch manufacturers themselves, but in Italy, Germany, China and Hong Kong and then sent to watch manufacturers. Just because these straps were fitted to the watches and the buckles or clasps were added to them, these straps automatically becomes their brand straps and cost a lot, lot more. Hope it helps to save your hard earned money.

I want to know the value of my ornet antimagnetic pocket watch i think its from hong kong and this watch is old the case of this watch have a man fishing somewere in the river with lots of the treeson his...

It's rarely possible to give any kind of definitive valuation without seeing a watch (pocket or wrist) in person, but it sounds like you have an inexpensive pocket watch that was probably made in the 1960s, less likely made in the 1970s or 1950s. The use of the term "antimagnetic" on the watch, as opposed to "17 jewels," suggests that the watch is powered by a 1-3 jewel pin lever movement, rather than a more expensive movement. These movements can keep quite good time, but they are not valued by watch collectors unless the rest of the watch is of compelling interest.

In terms of value, your pocket watch has more value as a piece of jewelry than as a vintage timepiece. Most watch collectors would not be particularly interested in your watch. In the United States, I've seen similar watches, in running condition, sell for $5-10 at vintage watch fairs. Around where I live (the Northeast), as a piece of jewelry, your watch may be worth twice that but not more. I cannot speak to pricing in other parts of the country or internationally.

mcdevito75 here, helloarcus, look for a small watch repair shop in your area in Hong Kong you shouldn't have any problems getting a new glass (crystal) for your calvin Klein watch, However since you say the watch is new, contact Calvin Klien and let them know of the broken glass, see if it's on any kind of warranty, the paper work with your watch should have the contact info.
