The wire is slipping on the wheels and not feeding to the gun

check the tension on the spool - is it free to rotate ( but not so free it over-runs when you release the trigger)
check the tension on the drive wheels - are they turning and slipping on the wire?
Do you have the correct drive wheels for the wire size? if you're using .8 wire, you need to be using .8 drive wheels (or the .8 grooves if you have multiple grooves.
is there a kink in the liner? pull out the liner (remove the whole gun attachment, usually the liner will slide out from the end where it attaches to the welder). Blow out the liner with an airgun while you're at it as they fill up with crud.
When you reassemble the gun, slide a lenght of wire up the cord and check that you can push it all the way in freely.
Then when you rig the welder, leave the tensioner off the drive rollers, and push the wire into the gun by hand. you'll feel if there are any tight spots ( usually caused by kinks in the liner).
once you've rigged it, clamp the drive rollers shut and adjust the tension until they feed the wire smoothly. (leave the contact tip off the gun when you rig it as the tolerances are so fine that even the small flattening of the wire where you cut it will usually prevent it from feeding into the tip. Once it feeds properly, reshape the cut end of the wire and attach the tip (don't force it over the wire or you' ll just damage it)

My steering wheel controls quit working. On inspection I found were a wire had been chewed into by a chipmonk.. It cut the wire off right at the plug.. I can splice the one end of the wire bnut im at a...

While I do not have a wiring diagram, that wire may provide power to a computer that controls all of the steering wheel controls. So, it's possible. Not sure of how probably.

I'd probably try to temporarily jury-rig the connection, test the controls to determine if you have a bigger problem, then sadly, look at replacing the entire harness or at least splice a new connector into the wiring. Not sure what level of parts Ford will sell you.

Also, may want to check the fuses (suspect if you traced wires, you already did this) in case a blown fuse is causing the loss of multiple systems.

Subs on stock radio

chev stock radio does not have extra plug in for sub. to run your sub, im assumed you also going to run an amp to it also. there are no addition plug in in the back, but that does not stop anyone if you know how to rig things. i would not recommend rig wires on your 2007. I would install a new radio before rigging that car; than add a sub. keep in mind most of GM radios come with stock amp built into the radio itself. If you cut the wires from the radio and wire it to your sub amp you will get nothing but distorted sound. anything sound goes to any amp need to be pre-amp in order to work properly. hope that help some

Broken Female audio plug

take a 1-1/2" safety pin, straighten it a bit, heat the tip, stick it inside the broken pin, let it cool then work it out w/the broken pin attached. I had the same problem & this worked.

Error Message

Thats an interlock switch, you can fold a piece of paper into a one inch long piece and then stick it in th "plug" this will over ride the switch, you probably have broken the plastic piece that is located on the cover that tells the printer that the cover is closed.

Broken headphone tip in headphone jack

Only thing I can think of is to use a very small drill bit and drill into the broken tip and then pull it out very carefully.Try this at your own risk.
