Seems ccd imager is bad in your Sony camcorder that you get noisy picture in recording.
Let me know exact model number of camcorder to provide you more info.
some songs were copied in memory stick recently which contain some virus, we formatted the entire memory stick and the problem was solved but the other useful data was also lost.
You might need a source picture from a camera or off the tv so that the DVD has some sync pulses to actually record the sound. Some won't do anything without any pictures.
Some program have copy protection or your installations cable and setup try to set lower resolutions and make sure you see the picture on TV before record

I may able to help you
Cheers

Your camcorder has dirty/clogged video head problem. Please use Video Head Cleaning Cassette Video-8 type to clean it. Hope problem will be solved.
Have you cleaned your drum lately. purchase a soft head cleaning tape and run it through there for 20 secs if that doesnt work then you need to send it in for repair.
