Question about HP LaserJet P3005 Printer
New toner cart which I understand has the drum built in. So not sure what's happening? Internal roller seems to have a lot of toner on it as I can easily wipe it with a paper towel and see a large amount of toner coming off of it.
Resit toner cartridge properly, shoot 20 pages of blank pages .. check..

I can see a couple of possibilities here. One: The cleaning blade for the drum could be damaged and not all of the toner is being cleaned off of the drum between pages. Two: The drum could be damaged and the damaged parts of the drum are not accepting the changes generated by the laser. I don't think you have a fuser problem because if it were that, the toner would probably smear when you touch it. Typically, I would say it is the toner cartridge but you replaced it and still got the same problem. I would inspect the drum cleaning blade first. That would be the most cost effective first option. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I had a similar problem, it turned out to be a cheap toner cartridge. Replaced it with an HP cartridge and have had any problem since.

If it is a clicking sound it's most likely a gear that is bad. Haven't worked on this model, but typically it is one of the gears that works in tandem with the fuser that goes bad. These can be purchased on hp's site. Remove the fuser and inspect all the gears. There usually is a small plastic clip you have to remove to get at the gears. Inspect the teeth on the gears (they should be smooth) If it's not one of the fuser gears it could be one of the gears on the main gear assembly. This is considerably harder to access.
