Happy Holidays!
Well, difficult problem here, you has to open the cover to remove manually on the changer de CD, other than that, prove leaving the on botton pressed when connected, and see if open,

I HAVE A 5 DISC CHANGER.......I PLUG IT IN, TURN ON POWER AND THEN PUSH OPEN. OPEN COMES UP ON THE SCREEN BUT THE TRAY DOES NOT OPEN. WILL NOT SKIP FROM ONE DISC TO ANOTHER EITHER???????? ANY...

The 5 disc carousel CD player has a belt driven mechanism in it. And after about 3-4 years the belt looses its tension and cannot push the tray in or out. If you keep your ears on the top cover and turn on the system you will hear a whirring sound coming from the inside which will prove my point.
There are two belts in the machine. One for the eject mechanism and the other for disc change mechanism. One has to seek professional help to replace both because there is timing sequence also involved like the cam shaft of an engine.

I get E-01 error of my cd changer

The fault is actually inside the CD changer, when one disc is selected the changer moves the gearing inside to slot from one CD to the other.
While this operation is happening the selection arm jams !!
Then giving an error at the radio display..

To fix the problem, disconnect the CD changer from the trunk of the car,
take off the top plastic slide cover,
with a small screwdriver slowly move the gearing so that the CD disc holder will move back to the load - unload position.

Pop out the CD holder.

Replace unit, reconnect the optic and power lead, switch on radio and the unit will work again,

grease the moving parts with light lubricant

Good Luck

there are small drive belts that provide the power to operate the different parts to eject the CD magazine, i suggest you remove the covers and check these belts for slack/strech, it is a common reason for this problem

Hi
Open top cover, if the empty magazine was left inside the cd trays it can slide out into the playing area and jam the unit, check it like that anyhow. Sometimes you can see a small metal tab to release the magazine.

However Error1 means Battery inside CD Changer needs to be replaced.
And NO CD.CD error message means No CD in magazine or no magazine in CD Changer.

To fix the problem, disconnect the CD changer.
take off the top plastic slide cover,
with a small screwdriver slowly move the gearing so that the CD disc holder will move back to the load - unload position.
Pop out the CD holder.
Replace unit, reconnect the optic and power lead, switch on radio and the unit will work again.
grease the moving parts with light lubricant.

The disc tray of my Yamaha cdc-745 CD player does open properly.

It's the belt inside the machine - open tray and look in front left side and you will see it. Easy to change out with new one.

Onkyo 6 disc cd player onkyo DX-C390

my onkyo 6 disc changer was doing the same thing was doing the same thing. i opened it up and noticed the cds weren't quite stopping at the right spot. so i loosened the screw right in the middle of the disc tray. now operates perfectly now. i think maybe with age, the belt tension got a little lighter ant loosening the screw compensated for it.

CD 3 DISC PLAYER MODEL ES222E

First place to troubleshoot for the above listed issues are the gears, if gear driven spindle, or the belt if it is belt driven. If gear driven spindle apply enough non-attractive lubricant to the gears so they function freely. If belt driven clean all surfaces that the belt touches to ensure all dust or debris is removed and then lubricate center spindle posts only so that they can rotate freely and with as little friction as possible.
