Trying to replace the remotes for my car alarm

I had an aftermarket Audiovox car alarm installed in my van 4 years ago and I need to replace the two remote control units because they have gotten really beaten up over the years and won't last much longer.

I believe the number is PRO-OE3B4 (this from the back of the remotes)

Is it possible to just replace the remotes without having to purchase and install another car alarm system?

Yes, you can just replace the remotes without having to install a new alarm system. On the back of the remotes is a 1-800 number you can call for help.

If you still have the old remotes can you spare one of the buttons?

I lost the lock button from my remote and was hoping you could help me out if possible.

Thanks,
Big Chudy

It is possible, you need to find an audiovox retailer first. then you MUST know the model number of your specific alarm. then retailer or installer can find you new compatible remotes, but you or them will have to find manual for your model to get your alarm"brain" to properly "learn" the new remotes. it is always a very specific procedure, not universal to all alarms.

2003 pontiac grand am, installed an alarm system abt 2 yrs ago now it isnt working, cld it be a fuse if so isit easy to change?

The best alarm system only last about 5 to 7 years. If you bought a cheap one, pull it out. Every time I run into a security problem and they have aftermarket alarms/ remote starts. They come out. I'll get the car working right, but if want the alarm. You have to take it back to the place that sold it and installed it. Most likely you have to buy another alarm system.

I have a new prestige car remote installed recently and i have a problem how to shut off the alarm coz the installer did not or forgot to give me the manual. When i start the car remotely i press the...

You did not mention the year/make/model of your vehicle but, the issue appears to be the factory alarm. The installer failed to make the connection. If you intend to make the connection yourself I would need information pertaining to the vehicle. The (-) pulse before start wire for Prestige remote starters is black with a blue stripe. It is in a 4 pin connector at the module. This wire can be used to disarm the factory alarm before the remote start sequence.

Lost remote to disable alarm on 2000 mercury villager how can i disable it and start my van

If you have the factory alarm system, you can put your key into either door and lock and unlock the door, that signals the computer to deativate the alarm. If you have an aftermarket alarm system installed, it will have to be removed and the wiring that the alarm ties into must be restored to factory design.

I need to see if a add on remote start will work with my prestige

The APS9076 is a OEM add-on remote start module only and not an alarm. Are you trying to add or find a remote to an existing Prestige alarm or installing one?
