Kenmore Series 80 wont do anything.

I have a Kenmore Series 80 Washing Machine that wont agitate, spin, or drain. The washer filled up and now all it does is humm. Im guessing the motor is the problem since the pump wont operate either.

Kenmore 80 series washing machine fills but wont agitate draqins but wont agitste or spin

My bet is on the drive coupler. if you can here the motor run and the machine will drain water then 99.9% it will be the drive coupler.

This coupler is behind the motor and is what conects the motor with the transmission.

Kenmore 80 series washer fills but does not wash/agitate. will spin and drain when manually turning dial to spin

The agitator dogs may be broken or the transmission could be bad. Try checking the agitator dogs first. They are an easy and inexpensive fix.

Series 70 fills wit water stops then makes a slight buzzing sound

The electric motor my have failed or a part called a capacitor could be the problem? The capacitor is part of the starting circuit of the electric motor, if this fails the motor will not start therefore the washing machine won't spin or agitate.

Kenmore washing machine 80 Series 110 20802 990 Will not agitate or spin"

You need to replace the Kenmore Washer Lid Switch. I had the same problem so being lazy I would just push down on the washer's lid and it would push the lid switch further down. making the water drain. after a while I just replaced the lid switch.

Kenmore washer 80 series 110 model not spinning.

unless your washer is over 20 years old, then it wont have a belt. the temperature of the water wont have anything to do with it spinning or not.
need to know if it agitates or drains and just wont spin.
if it agitates but no spin or drain, then you have a bad lid switch.
if it wont agitate or spin, but will drain, then you have a broken drive coupling.
