REMOTE for projector

Does the projector have the mouse features?

Have you connected the USB cable from the projector to the laptop so that the projector's mouse signals will reach the laptop?

Has the laptop recognised the projector as a Mouse Device and loaded drivers for it?

If the answer is No to any of these questions, then that's why the mouse feature does not work.

How do I forward the slides of a powerpoint presentation using the remote?

Make sure that you connect a cable (usually the USB cable is supplied with the projector ) from the computer to the projector. Once communication is established, normal PPT slide advancing is done by pressing the up/down arrow keys (depending on the remote control layout)

Cannot get the remote to move the slides on the screen

Problem is not clear. Are you trying to use remote of the projector to move the slides? And slides from what? A PowerPoint presentation?
If you are using a computer, use the computer to change what is shown. You cannot use the remote of the projector for that.
Provide more information to help you better.

My dell d630 laptop wont recognize my infocus lp70+ remote control and I can't advance my powerpoint slides with the remote control

Here's what the User's Manual says:

Using the Remote Control

To advance PowerPoint slides with the projector's remote, you

must connect the USB cable on the projector's computer cable to

the computer. See page 8 for more information.

Point the remote control at the projection screen or at the front or

rear of the projector (not at the computer). The range for optimum

operation is about 30 feet. If you point the remote at the

projection screen, the distance to the screen and back to the projector

must be less than or equal to 30 feet. For best results, point

the remote directly at the projector.

If you are displaying presentations in Microsoft® PowerPoint®,

you can use the remote's Previous and Next buttons to navigate

through your presentation while in Slide Show mode.

Hitachi cp-s240 remote question

Hitachi data projectors are able to function as a mouse using either the USB port or the control port located on the back of the projector.

However, they are not intended to be used as a remote presenter. This means that although you can use the remote as a mouse, you will not be able to change slides in a full screen slide show using powerpoint.

I recommend the Targus remote presenter for this purpose. This device will function as a mouse, pointing device, and will allow you to change slides in powerpoint. In addition, it's inexpensive, wireless, and small enough to easily fit in your pocket.
