Solution for recall on LG washer wm2277H5

Our washer has vibrated and jumped around for most of its life. just heard briefly on tv news that there was a recall related to this; didn't catch what to do. It sounds like a jet plane trying to take off in laundry room. Bought it 12/11/06 and the vendor no longer services LG products. Linda Rowe 559 585-8804 phone [email protected]

SOURCE: Whirlpool Duet Sport Washer Door Reversal

well as far as a work around goes you can go to lowes and get longer hoses and cords and swap them around the door on the washer is not reversable because of the door lock how ever the drier door is hope that helps

My washer is off balance during the spin cycle it jumps, and moves around

With the washer empty, tilt it front a few inches and drop it back down. This will re-level the legs. If it still jumps around, replace the drum snubber, inside the front of the machine. It's a rubber pad that keeps the drum from moving around too much. Snubbers dry out with age.

Machine jumps around like it is out of balance

There is an unvalance in the machine obviously. I would be checking the shock absorbers to see iif any are broken or not in place.. If it is a toled floor it is oftemn difficult to prevent some movement when the machine is in spin. one way around this ( providing it does not have a broken chassis or shocks) is to place a heavy rubber mat under the machine to prevent it moving on the slippery tiles

Windshield wipers

Yes this is an issue on many Chevys with no recall. MOST of the time the problem you are describing is the wiper motor "pulse board", not the motor itself. Bad solder joints in the thin board, crack, so vibration and normal driving make them worse, and no contact is being made. Good news...Advance Auto Parts carries these for approx. $30, much cheaper than motor replacement. Just like wiper motor removal but all you have to do is remove (3) screws holding pulse board on motor housing, and most IMPORTANT, always put a thin bead of silicone or quality sealer around edge before re-install, this helps with vibration as well as waterproofing. Hope this helps!

No picture - power indicator shows red

It will have to go into the shop! Our LG Plasma did the same thing twice now.

Vibration

Is the machine level. The feet should be tightened and the nuts should be tightened against the cabinet. Tilt the machine back and check the shock absorbers. One of the shockies could have jumped out of the guides.
