Question about Mitsubishi WD-Y57 57" Projection HDTV

1 Answer

Air flow error message again and again....

I did my own troubleshooting and found that my lights indicated that my "room temp" was too high..... My TV sits in front of a window that was opened and it being 40 degrees outside, and I still get the error. Although it did work a few times. Now just to locate the "air flow filter" I've told to clean....help me out...please.

A few of these sets did have a issue, the lamp cartridge had some fine metal mesh around a few places where the airflow from the cooling fan contacts it, that mesh if there gets blocked with dust and will give this error as it is really the set detecting the lamp temp is too high.

If you find that, clean the mesh free of dust, careful not to drive the dust inside onto the lamp face itself.

Other than that dust on the fan that cools the lamp can slow the fan just a little and the set will detect this also.

"air flow blocked" means its getting too hot. or it thinks it is. it is quit common on these set that the thermal sensor has malfunction replaceing this sensor is your solution. since this is service bulliteen item at service centers of mitsubidshi products this may be an item covered under warrenty. so i would first check with you local service shop too see before

When the environmental temperature is lower than the set range, the display will indicate "LO".
Lowering the temperature you have it set on, should resolve the problem.

My LG room air conditioner has an error message "C2". Please advise what this means and what to do.

According to the owner's manual C2 indicates "an open circuit in the indoor pipe thermostat. Unplug the unit and contact your authorized LG Service Center." To locate the closest Service Center to you, go to the following link. http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair/support-repair-provider-lookup.jsp

If however, you confused C2 with an F2. "F2" indicates the fan speed setting and the unit is working as it should.

I hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

I have an AC unit with the model # PDH12K3SD-C the unit stops working and flashes an error cod = "06" anyone know what the error code means?

According to the Owner's Manual if the Error Code flashes "06" the O.D. coil Temperature > 175 Deg
F for 2 consecutive minutes. (Heat Pump models only).

The action taken by the unit is Alternate flash set point and error code. Shut unit down for 5 minutes, then try again 2 times, if fails the 3rd time, then shut down unit.:

All of this is can caused by several things:

• Dirty filters
• Dirty coil
• Fan motor failure
• Restricted air flow
• Improper refrigerant charge
• Restriction in refrigerant circuit

The dirty filters, dirty coil and restricted air flow you can troubleshoot and solve yourself. The reaming ones should be handled by a an authorized service technician.

Here's a link to your Owners Manual, that you can download and print for future reference.

Hope this helped to to troubleshoot and solve the problem . Please let me know. Thanks.

NO HEAT. Blower / fuse / relay / fans - are OK. Noticed low level of antifreeze. Topped off & blead system several times. Topped off again. All operating temps are good. No wet floor board discovered...

the flap directing air to the heater core may be jammed. otherwise, the valve on the in flow side of the hose may be frozen, or partially restricting the flow of hot coolant. good luck!

Temp. Problem

Before you call in the cavelry, check the rear fan access cover and open it to check the fan. Please check this with the unit unplugged. Make sure that the fan turns freely and that the air path is clear and clean. Once cleaned, try the set again and pay particular attention to whether or not the fan is spinning. You should be able to feel the air flow. If there is air flow, and it does not feel really hot, you may have a defective air flow sensor or temp sensor. Let the tech know what you find if the celaning does not resolve the problem.

Keep us posted.
