Hitachi 55hdx62 no picture

My tv turns on but the screen does not light up nor does it flicker screen just stay black as if it were not receiving power to the screen if i push the power button make a little noise like usual when powering up green light shows which mean it's functional but no pic help thanks

Back-light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

No picture on intermittent basis -

If you have tried using different input devices, looked for loose contacts
in power outlet, RC Jack, cable and connectors, the TV might need service.

Replacing the front glass entails completely disassembling the entire TV. Your best bet is to look for a broken TV with a good front glass.

The screen needs replacing if cracked. It is usually cheaper to buy a new TV than get it repaired.

Tv turns on with picture for 20 minutes then the picture starts to shrink and the screen goes black and the tv stays on but the screen stays black

try to check the capacitors or locate a bad solder component on the pcb board

My Hitachi model 65SWX20B is flickering and sometimes doesn't want to turn on at first. It will after you turn the tv on and off a few times. when it doesn't light up the screen stays black and sometimes...

I have a very similar problem. Issue seems to go away after the set warms up. Did you find a solution for this?

Our Hitachi tv turns on okay but the picture on comes in for 2-3 seconds and then the screen goes black. Last night the tv work just fine but this problem started today as I turned the tv on to watch...

I don't know what model you have,but... I have a 50v715 and it was doing the same thing and it turned out to be the lamp. So if you have not replaced the lamp in a while then it could just be it time. Hope this is helpful.

First of all if the "technician" said the LCD panel possibly but this is a plasma then BOOT that tech, he/she doesn't know what they are doing. You probably have a bad logic board as I have seen with a few Hitachis. This is obvious to a TV tech because the logic boards on Hitachis have LED's on them to indicate their condition. I would get a second opinion on this repair. Avoid the person who thinks its the LCD panel when it's a plasma TV.

Won't turn off

Go to the panel (on the tv set), hit magic focus on there....then hold power button for several seconds long. It should go off and fix your problem.
