Our Fagor F1-48W dishwasher won't fill. It runs fine if water is added.
This must be a water flow problem to machine , id look real carefull at valves under sink or under floor of machine to see that there open and there are no kinks in hose connecting to it , other than that the one only other reason that it would not add water is that it thinks there's water in it already
SOURCE: My bosch dishwasher does not fill with water (although it drains)
most bosch have the inlet valve at the end of the fill pipe and it has an anti-flood device.
try turning off the water, take off the fill pipe then reconnect it and see if this works.
taking off the fill pipe resets the anti-flood device
SOURCE: water keeps running into dishwasher causing overflow
I had a diswasher with thils problem several years ago. The problem was wiith the plastic float at the bottom. It had hardend greese buildup that kept the float from moving freely. Removing the float and cleanning fixed the problem.
Go to the back of the machine, where the main water inlet connects. The connection there is the inlet valve that should open when you switch the machine on. Usually you have to remove the machine outer casing to get to the valve. The valves are quite cheap. Cheers, Derek.

I have had a look at the user manual for your dishwasher.
I am surprised you have not observed any of the error codes flashing. (see page 36).
If you fill the dishwasher manually and then it works then I am inclined to suspect the water inlet solenoid (assuming the inlet tap is open under the kitchen sink).
Also check if the dishwasher is fitted with the Aquastop device which could be kicking in and stopping the water inlet.
Hi
When the Dishwasher won't fill you'll need to
check for the water inlet hose, the water inlet valve and the float switch
assembly. When the water fills your dishwasher, a float rises along with it. As
the float reaches a certain threshold level, it shuts off the flow of water,
thereby preventing a leak. Sometimes the float can get stuck in the wrong
position in your dishwasher, and it can prevent your dishwasher from filling.
Sometimes it can happen due to float valve and on other occasions due to float
switch. Inspect the water hose coming to the dishwasher for any blockages. If the
hose is not clogged then check the water inlet valve for any clogs, if the
water will not even fill for few seconds then certainly the water inlet valve
is bad and should be replaced. You can also use a multimeter to check
continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then
you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly. However, if the valve is
fine then the float switch assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps...
