Final Fantasy XI unreadable disc

I have had final fantasy XI for my xbox 360 for about 4 months, it has played fine. The other night after an update I played for a few hours then shut it down. The next day I started it back up and got an "unreadable disc" error. I never even took the disc out of the xbox. Have cleaned the disc and what not and keep getting the error. I am going to try to exchange it but since its been so long who knows if I can.

I bought FF11 the other night installed it and sat through all the updates and played it for bout three hours and then i went to play it the yesterday and it sais it cant read the dis there is not a...

I am so sorry that more people are going through this. You MUST LOG OUT OF PLAYONLINE before you can close the game. This long process is needed. Since you did not log out of play online and exit to the dashboard their way your data is now corrupted. FFXI does not appear in the HDD memory and you have to format the HDD and redownload all over again.

My final fantasy XI disc is not reading and it is saying it is not recognizable.Funny thing is that I was just playing it.

Most probably its surface is scratched and your console could not read it correctly. You could ask for a new disc from the store.

Need to delete Final Fantasy XI fom Xbox 360 and can't find the files for it. I think they're hidden. Anyone know how to find hidden files on the Xbox 360?

You cannot access hidden files on your xbox 360. What you do is go to MY XBOX > GAME LIBRARY> COLLECTIONS> ALL GAMES> FINAL FANTASY XI> DELETE. Doing this will delete all the game files for Final Fantasy XI.

Final Fantasy 11 Online (360) - Unreadable Disc

Sfabian answered the solution: If you are having trouble with your online disc and it is saying disc is unreadable, just follow theses directions:

Step 1: Put the disc on the disc tray, but do not close the disc tray.

Step 2: Connect a mp3 player, or a cell phone through a usb cord and listen to the music.

Step 3: close the tray but let the music play and then the game will load and don't reinstall anything, just select the first option.

This solution was fixed on final fantasy XI ultimate colletion.
