How to access ballast on pt-50lc13

Bought the parts to fix the ballast, but cannot remove circuit boards to access parts.

The ballast is hard to completely remove--one plug all the way to the left as seen from rear and to the front, this does not really need to remove that.

The box is to the center and rear, unplug some plugs, screws and the box will come out far enough to replace the parts without removing the who thing from the set.

The large metal box with shields etc is the ballast.

Hi, if you take off the back cover of the TV. Once you take the cover off there is a metal plate in the middle that has to come off. Behind the metal plate you will see a metal box with holes in it, thats the ballast board. It can be a number of things. It can be the ballast board or the power supply board. Take the back cover off and turn the TV on. You should hear the ballast board trying to fire. It will try at least 3 times before stopping. Is your lamp light on in the front of the TV.

i'm on my 3rd bulb in 5 yrs. i hate this tv. this time my bulb light didn't come on. instead the power light flashed green fast then went to red flashing after. i took out the bulb and it's blown!

I JUST BROUGHT A REPLACMENT LAMP, BUT THE RED LAMP LIGHT STILL ON AND IT SAY REPLACE LAMP AND RESET THE LAMP HOUR METER

if you all ready reset the lamp timer and closed the access panel you may now be having a problem with your ballast board it might be too weak and that is the reason it does not turn on this ballast boards are not that expensive they range from $60-$80dls

Its actually called a ballast its the board that the lamp hooks up to should be easy to find, if you make a mistake though you can get a very nice discharge and it will hurt!

Need to replace bulb in lcd panasonic

After lamp replacement, make sure that lamp cover is properly fixed on its location and if TV still does not turn On then it is ballast power supply issue, qualified TV tech will fix it.

How do I replace the ballister?

DLP TVs use Ballast board it is what turns Lamp on! Take back off look for capacitors 1000uf16v if any of these are puffed up on top they are bad.Ballast board plugs in easy to replace,for good working board look up on ebay got one for 57.00 Good Luck with the repair.
