Not good, check all inputs etc, the model is a Dlp set so if loss of one color etc a Bad Optical Light engine is likely.

SOURCE: I have a toshiba 65hm167 no red color on the screen

Your TV is a DLP one lamp does it all, not like the old projection TVs with the Red, Green & Blue CRTs. Your TV may have a bad light engine or lose cable connections.

Good luck

I plug in the tv. and nothing but one green light and a blinking red light. I got the tv a few weeks ago with the knowledge of a light needing replaced but, I can't troubleshoot any further.

Have you changed the bulb? If so you need to re-set the lamp hours on the set. This is done in the menu section on the TV and is listed in the manual. Make sure that everthing click into place after replacing the lamp holder.

There was a slight squealing and then a loud pop and now no picture. We have sound but no picture. Toshiba 65" rear projection set.

Sound like the color wheel exploded. When this happens the tv will not let it turn on, now for the real bad news,,,, Toshiba does not supply just the color wheel, you will have to replace the entire light engine for around $450.00 to $650.00
