I got my lg not so long gao but i believe its a used phone. today i slid it open and my screen went completely blank and now it doesnt work at all, the key pad doesnt even light up anymore, the screen is just completely blank. wut can i do?
M8 sounds like your screen is faulty or your ribbon has been damaged in some way.to fix it you will need to open it and have a look at the ribbon if there is any damage vissible no matter how small it means ur ribbon is gone an you need a new 1.it could also be your screen if there isnt any damage on the ribbon then it could be the screen.it could be a combination of both. word of caution: if you try to open it yourself you could damage the ribbon.you wont notice it but its very easy to do.so be carefull. but if you want an expert to do it for try these guys http://www.mobilephoneservicecentre.co.uk/ good luck
When I push the four button icon on the bottom my LG Chocolate the screen goes blank instead of bringing up my other menu items such as contacts, media, internet, etc. Can you help me?

I slid the phone open - screen went blank - keys don't light up - phone does not work. First I thought it was the battery - so I tried my battery on my mom's phone (she has the same phone) - her phone worked. Tried her battery on my phone - it's still blank - keys don't light up - phone still does not work. ARGH!
It kinda made a red color then faded to white once ... it appears to constantly restart but not make it far enough to load the software ... the keypad has NO backlight but the screen does, removing the battery doesnt fix it, nor does plugging it in directly. I was using it and it worked fine, then i put it in its little holster and it was ok, put it on my hip and grabbed it like 10 minutes later, it was still on, but just the black screen, and no keypad lights. I would say it might have been hacked but bluetooth was off and I'm not in an EV zone right now, just the 1x ... it wasnt bumped hard, or dropped, and I refuse to let it simply be dead. there must be a solution but I dunno what ... I backed up what I could with bitpim a few days back, and when I get the chance I'll try to compare it all again ... maybe if i plug it into vista it will attempt to "fix bad sectors of the drive" or something ... UGH! please help me, like most of you my life is on that phone....

SCREEN WENT BLANK
On LG Chocolate the screen has gone blank I can still dial out and number pad does still light. Haven't had it over 5 months but bought it used.

Screen died, this is the second time this has happened. The first time, I got a new phone, keeping the battery.
