Doe this always go into overload independent of the volume level? Try disconnecting the speakers completely and running the set. Does the set shutdown then too?

Thanks,
Dan

No tv sound through reciever's speakers. How do I hook up?

TV is not customarily a sound source. It is a video destination. Get your TV-related audio to the receiver from the same places the TV gets it - each source device's audio outputs.

AV stereo rec SA-GX550 GX350 Shuts down while operating. Resumes playing after random interval. Does not pass 110VAC to ancillary equipment through AC plug in back of console. Please advise.

Technics? check for bad solder connections on the voltage regulators attached to the heatsink. some models have an acess panel you can cut out on the bottom of the receiver. you will have to find a screw or two to re-attach the panel. it could also be a problem with the cooling fan.

Good Luck

My Tchnics Sa-Da10 shuts down on what appears to

Ahh technics. Technics always had overheating problems, trust me. Every since they started, their amps would get so hot they would hurt to touch. The reason the fan is not coming on seams to be something inside the circuit board. I'm sure that technics could fix this. If the fan works out of the receiver, then it must not be the fan. ;P

I would maybe get a computer fan, and just put it on top of the receiver and turn it on, or send it in for fixing. Also, do you have to crank the volume to get the speakers to play at your volume, and does the impeadence match the receiver. Because you may be pushing the receiver too hard.

I have a Technics SA-AX610 receiver that says overload .

From the manual pg 27....... "The protection circuitry has functioned because the positive and negative speaker connection wires are "shorted," speaker systems with an impedance less than the indicated rated impedance of this unit are used or under severe use, such as loud volume, excessive power and in an excessively hot environment."
