I suspect the problem is with the DVD and requires the audio settings to match the type of audio connection you have used, Digital sound or Analogue Sound. see setup for audio in this similar DVD model user manual. I did not know what your DVD model number was but it should be similar in setup to the one below in the link. http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/DMPBD60-MUL.PDF

This probably means that your DVD player has a dirty lens or a tracking problem or both. If the DVD player has a tray, you can try putting an optical disc lens cleaner into the unit. (Slot-loading DVD units may not properly accept or eject the disc. So don't try a cleaning disc in that type of unit.)
Since most DVD players are cheap, it's usually better to replace the unit if the tracking is bad. Similarly, if a lens cleaner does not work, replace the unit. If the player is under warranty, contact the manufacturer.
If you wish to get setup codes, three
digits, four digits or five digit ones, check this link. Pull up older posts there. Setup code list and setup instructions to
some popular model remote controls are given. Select the 'Timeslide'
option from the drop-down list by the 'Sidebar' at the display
window. It will make search easy.
Most DVD players are connected to one of the rear audio/video inputs--hook to that input and select it on the TV--then hit play and if connected correctly you will see the movie.
