I have had my Maytag Neptune Front Loader for about 3 years now and it has worked fine. All of a sudden, it started leaking water from underneath the door as it begins to fill with water. Grant it....I do wash about twice a week, but as much money as I spent on this washer, it should be able to handle the twice a week washing. It is now starting a 2nd leak from the soap/bleach/fabric softener dispenser. I have had service to come out and they were not able to find anything wrong with it. They ran the washer thru many cycles and of course it did not leak while they were there. It has worked fine for about 2 weeks and it started back with the 2nd leak. I no longer feel comfortable putting in a load of clothes and walking out of my laundry room, so I now have to literally stand and watch the machine start washing and be ready to interrupt by turning it off. I am up to my whits with this washer and can not keep mopping up water and risk my baseboards getting mold from the water. Please HELP or give me some suggestions as to what might be the problem.
Service came out to check out my washer. He sent it thru the wash cycle and it started leaking. He removed the top and checked the hose that leads from dispenser to tub. What he found was the round piece of paper from the clorox top which had dropped into the dispenser apparently when I poured clorox into the dispenser. Which was causing the dispenser to backwash underneath and flow down like it was coming from underneath the door. Thank God I have an extended warranty. I advise everyone who has the newer digital models to purchase an extended warranty. It is worth it....the repair can be costly from what I understand.
