SOURCE: black spot in screen

Nice picture illustrates the problem very clearly. It seems to be out of focus and as it is recorded on your pics ( as I understand), it must be something in the optics. See if you can peer down the lens at the front of the camera to see it there is something trapped between the lenses. You may need a strong light to do this. Shake the camera (gently) to see if it moves.

Let me know how you get on.

cheers

Canon A530 black spot on LCD which is visible in the photos tried to clean the lensa but was in vain canyou help pls?

A blck spot on your pictures, means there is something blocking light on the sensor. Could be dirt, but more lightly is there has formed some mould.
Because you can't open a compact camera to clean the sensor, I think you can't solve this problem. Opening the camera is no option, because without skills, tools and manual, you won't be able to put the camera together. A repair shop most likely won't start the job, because the repair will cost more than a new camera.
Sorry I can't bring a more positive story.

After photos have been taken noticed few spots in the right lower corner. Lens cleaned up both sides with a dry special rag - same situation - not improvement. This is a brand new Sony Alpha 390 Camera -...

You have dust on your sensor. Google the words "how to clean a DSLR sensor" and you will find sites explaining the procedure and where you can get the supplies needed. Don't worry, it happens to all of us.

Black spot

Hi,

If the black spot is always on the same location then you have to clean your lens, if it changes location, bring it to the service center for firmware reload.

I hope this helps.

White spots on photos

No setting can cause white spots on the picture, this is a fault.

By the way you can reset settings on this camera to initial state by simply removing and putting back camera batteries.
Alternatively you should have a reset command on camera settings menu.

My opinion is that this is a fault and not a settings problem.

Typically there are three kind of faults that can cause this problem:

1 - Dirty lens or water inside the lens:
The lens may be dirty inside, for example because of water condensation on internal surfaces, this will cause blurred dots or black dots. The lens must be taken apart and cleaned in this case.

2 - Defective CCD sensor.
The CCD sensor is the chip that detects the picture, if you get well defined white or colored spots on picture that is probably a defective CCD. I think this is the more likely in your case. To fix this the sensor must be replaced.

3 - Defective video chip on internal board.
This can cause any kind of problems, however it is quite unlikely.
It is an expensive repair.

D50 black spot of photos

Ok, step one - find an appropriate cleaning solution - be it an air blower, like a rocket blower, a pads, alcohol and a qtip, etc. Keep in mind that it's not necessarily true more expensive means better cleaning... but I wouldn't go the dirt cheap route of alcohol and a qtip, though many claim they use it. Personally, I use a blower, but I havn't had anything more than dust thus far...

After that, prep a very clean environment, then take off your lens, and clean your mirror!!! Then when you think it's clean, try your camera again... if you still have spots, then you're going to have to clean the sensor... again, I'd use a blower, especially considering that if you ruin the sensor, you've pretty much ruined your entire camera.

If you STILL have spots, check your lens for dust, both front and back lenses. Still spots? Try another lense entirely (might be scratches). STILL on there? Then you probably have a bad sensor... see warranty information and pray :).

If any of this makes you queasy, look in your phonebook for stores that will offer repair, and try to locate the Nikon-qualified if possible.
