Cloths Soaked after Spin Cycle

I have a Maytag Washer Model:MAV2757AWW. I just replaced the Drive belt because the cloths were dripping wet after the spin cycle.
The machine spins but not fast enough to decently dry the cloths. They are dripping wet after spin cycle. Also I noticed the agitator is going back and forth during the spin cycle. TIA

If the motor has a transmission, it could be stuck in 1st gear. I think the agitator running is normal.

If it's stuck in 1st gear, it could be a stuck or disconnected solenoid on or near the transmission. If you find one, see if it moves.

Maytag washer

check to make sure the door is locking when it should. If the door isn't locking or sensing that its locked the washer will not go into high speed spin.

Cloths are still very wet after spin cycle

This sounds like a belt issue. A belt will become weak and stretch or glaze over time. Both of these conditions will cause a slow spin.
The belts are located on the bottom and are relatively easy to replace. Go to: www.repairclinic.com for info on removal and installation. You can even order a new belt from them.

Spin cycle is slow, cloths still extremely wet after spinning

problems with spin cycle could be due to variable reasons.components involved are the lid switch, timer control and the motor. The clothes might be soaked because there could be a drain problem.check whether the drain is clear for partial blockage.also inspect the water pump.
