Kenmore Ecocycle Front Loading Washers ERR ??? LOC???

The manuals for most Whirlpool appliances are available here: http://www.whirlpool.com/custserv/index.jsp . Look for the full model number under the lid on the rim of the washer. AWM 312 is not a complete model number. Next is the washer a top loading or front loading machine? This is actually indicated in the model number - most Whirlpool models start WFW (front-load) or WTW (top-load). The exception is the compact washers (LCE4332PQ is the current model).

For the front-loading washers, the detergent goes into the largest compartment (usually the left-most part of the drawer). Top-loading washers that have a detergent compartment usually have it positioned at the top center back of the tub. Use HE detergent for high efficiency washers and do not use more detergent than recommended (using less is okay).

liquid is best as powder is mostly made of a "clay base" in its detergents??? yes i did say clay!

yes there is to stop detergents from getting too bubbly witch would cause too much preassure for a front loader witch could cause damage always use front loading washing detergents

LOC stands for lock....door lock failure....check the door strike and make sure door is closed....if closed wil need to replace lock mechanism

The LOC code merely means the control responded and locked the door. You'll find a tech sheet under the top panel of the machine to help guide you thru the diagnostic process, which is fairly involved.

LOC means it thinks the control panel is locked. This gives the ERR indication when you push the buttons. To unlock it you need to hold down the Options and Select buttons together until it reacts.

I know this may seem silly but - On the top right back corner of your washer hit it with medium force with your fist, this helps.

yes make sure the box of detergent says HE on it. and read the directions on the soap box for load size and amount.

all kenmore named washer will have 110 as first 3 digits of model #..the he washers are usually good washers..like all front loads they have their quirks ..if you read reviews from other consumers they indicate problems ..most of which are easily remedied by reading owners manuals..mold /mildew usually a bleach clean every few months ..vibration need real solid floor..oversuds use HE detergents only..just a matter of changing mind set from top loads with 25 gals of water each fill to a front load with 5-6 gals each fill..top load with 750-850 rpm spin speed to front load 1000-1200 rpm ..if willing to learn proper use and what to expect they can best investment..just don't let opinions of those unwilling to adapt affect your decision

full of sudsy soap after cycle complete, no water ???sounds as if your using the wrong detergent, youll NEED to use an HE detergent (low sudsing)specifically designed for use with front loading washers

All the lights are on, but the door lock. We have unplugged it, doesn't help. Our washer is the front load, model LTF 2140ES0.

Look for the 2 buttons on your that have a lock symbol.  Pushing & hold both for 3 seconds.  This toggles the child proof mode.
