POWER LIGHT FLASHES ONE SHORT AND ONE LONG FLASH.
What is the problem? THE PROBLEM IS THAT ONE OF THE LED's STRIPS IS BAD!

SHARP AQUOS LC60LE810UN RESET INSTRUCTIONS

1)Plug in TV to electric current First then wait until LED start flashing.
2)Press Volume DOWN HOLD ALL three buttons until LED stops flashing and then release.

·This will reset the TV in order to fix the problem.
·THE FIX IS TO REPLACE ONE OF THE LED's. You need to open the back of the TV and you will also need to remove the front cover and panel to get to the LEDs. The TV will need to be placed facedown and on the backside. This is a 2 person job to turn the TV on its sides. Be careful with the white computer connectors (wide white strip) at the base of the TV where the TV stand sits. You will need to disconnect this in order to get to the LED's.
Once you have the LED's exposed, you will need to unplug one by one by placing the new strip next to it until the unit turns on. You will have to use the RESET procedure above if the Power lite flashes. The Power lite MUST BE ON SOLID - no blinking in order to test the strips. The LED's will flash, but still one of them will be burned. Even if you stare and all the strip light-up, you will still need to check one-by-one!
Once the TV lights up, your face will also light up with joy! Put everything back together and you are set. If you need the complete instructions which come from Sharp as to how to disassemble the unit, please send me an e-mail to [email protected]. Please note I don't check this address daily, so a few days wait may take for you to receive the instructions.

SOURCE: power light keeps blinking green with no display

I would try leaving the TV unplugged for 30 minutes to let the TV reset itself.
If that doesn't work, most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. The most common thing to go out is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board.
I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet.
If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route.
If not under warranty and If you have some electronic experience, you can purchase a Service Manual over the internet and diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists. Usually, cost under $20.

I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.

My Emerson flat screen wont turn on. The standby light is on and when you turn it on the green light blinks about 6 times goes solid for a second then straight to standby again. Every 20 times or so you...

The 6 blinks are actually a error code. Go to the Emerson web site you should be able to look the code up there. Its more than likely a bad power supply. I have a friend who works on tvs and he said nine times out of ten there are popped or raised capacitors in the power supply. Hope this helps.

Runco flat panel tv displays solid green then blinking red light. What doe this mean?

How many times this standby/power light blinks at one time switch ON? Count it carefully. These blinks are fault indication, and known as blinking codes. From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON; you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV. This will make repair easy. My panasonic th-42pwd8uk tv wont power on. When I press power it clicks to turn on then clicks again and the screen never shows up. No red lights no blinking lights just a solid green light.

Check the capacitors and replace the power components. It is an easy fix if handy with soldering electronics. Tv Repairman may charge less than $100.00 bucks to fix it !
Good luck

Cant get jumbo remote to work for my tv

If it's an Innovage brand jumbo remote, try this...
There are 2 different versions of the Innovage Jumbo remote, an old and a new.
For the old version:
1. You have to have the TV or DVD turned OFF.
2. Then, you have to push CODE SEARCH button once for 3 seconds till it lights solid
3. Then press TV (or DVD) button once till it lights once and turns solid and press the ON/OFF button very slowly and repeatedly as many as 300+ times to wait for the TV (or DVD) to go on.
4. Once it goes on...STOP and IMMEDIATELY press ENTER before you pass up the code or you'll have to start over!

This is very frustrating but my advice is to take it slow and methodical. Think the tortoise and the hare...if you go too fast, you'll redo it several times because you'll keep passing it up and accidentally turn the TV on and off suddenly and miss the code.
--------------------------------------------
For the newer version:
1. Turn the TV (or DVD) ON.
2. Press CODE SEARCH once and it blinks.
3. Press TV (or DVD) once and it blinks.
4. Press ON/OFF button only ONCE.
5. Wait as it automatically searches for the code by itself. It will have a slow long blink between each code it searches.
6. Stay alert because when the TV (or DVD) goes off, you IMMEDIATELY have to push ENTER to lock in that code before it goes onto the next one. (which it will even if the TV is off)
