The front lens is multi-coated on PURPOSE! You do not want a telescope with an uncoated main lens. This coating increases light throughput --

Here is a site with some scopes, one of which is hopefully your model. They also have specs on the different models:

Good luck, and hope this helps.

SOURCE: repair location for bausch and lomb harbourmaster

It's very doubtful that it can be fixed economically with a bent tube. You can try contacting Bushnell at this web site:

http://www.opticsplanet.net/bushnell-warranty.html

but I doubt that they can help you.

I have a Bausch and Lomb Discoverer 60mm telescope. Is there an attachment that I can buy that has a bigger and wider field of view other than having to squent my eye to look through the pin hole sight on...

This is a 60mm telescope. You can buy other eyepieces which will be better than the ones you got with the scope. They come in 3 sizes- .965, 1.25, and 2 inch.

Measure the hole. Here is an on-line retailer that sells eyepieces:
http://www.agenaastro.com/

All telescopes have fields of view that are about the size of the tip of your finger held at arm's length. (1 degree or so)

I have an old pair of Air Force issued prescription dark glasses.

If these are the same as the Bausch & Lomb 'Aviator' style. Contact Luxotica. They purchased Bausch & Lombs Sunglasses division. I personally prefer the hooked wires to the standard arms and have purchased the hooked arms to replace the standard ones for other B&L sunglasses.

Another option could be to buy a cheap pair of dubious origin 'genuine' Raybans on the auction site and take the hooked arms off.

Bausch and Lomb rubber eye cups

Bausch & Lomb was purchased by Bushnell in the 70's. Your elites are Japanese made and considered quite a good binocular. Bushnell continued to make the same binoculars bearing the Elite name but replaced B&L with Bushnell. The current elites are different shaped. You could contact Bushnell or you could go to a store in your area that may stock the older Bushnell Elites and try and see if the eyecups fit.
