The wii remote curser does not show up on the screen.

My Wii worked for a while but suddenly stopped working. The nintendo wii remote stopped working, the curser does not show up on the screen. I have tried re-syncing it and hitting it but none of these have worked. Any solutions? Thanks

Check that the batteries are fully charged and make sure that the top end of the control is clean (no finger prints etc...) and that the bar that sits on your tv is centered correctly and plugged in correctly

Cannot get curser to show on screen

This could very possibly be an issue with the sensor bar. Try these steps:
  1. First, ensure your sensor bar is plugged into the console and oriented properly! Take a look at this picture to see how it's supposed to be facing (NOTE: you will NOT see the purple lights even if your sensor bar is working!! These are ultraviolet lights and are not detectable to the human eye!) Click here for the picture.
  2. Make sure your Wii remote is on and has new batteries! Older batteries decrease the strength of the light that the Wii remote gives off that it uses to communicate with your sensor bar.
  3. Assuming these things work, consider increasing the sensitivity of your sensor bar. Directions for how to do this have been posted online by Nintendo here.
If none of this works, chances are there's something wrong with your sensor bar, Wii remote, or a combination of both. Replace the sensor bar before replacing anything else. If that doesn't work, get a new Wii remote. Good luck!

Both remotes for my Wii suddenly stopped working. I think it's the ir sensor, but how can I be sure? Both remotes have fresh batteries and were working  fine yesterday. Now the wii does not register...

make sure the sensor bar is plugged in and oriented properly. If thats all ok I would be inclined to believe its the sensor bar, but you might try nintendo customer support before you go out and buy one.

Pokemon Battle REvolution rental can't start the game

it could be simply that the remotes are not turned on.or it could be that they are not pointing it at the motion sensor or they are standing too close.
I would advise to stand atleast 5 feet away from the screen
note that the blue pokeball is the wii remote pointer

Wii remote stopped

you will probably have to sync them. Open the battery cover on the remote and open the front cover of the wii console press the sync buttons at the same time. Hope this helps

Wii Remotes

Could it be an issue with your sensor bar on top of the TV? That could explain why you'd be having the issue with more than one remote all of a sudden.

Wii controller not doing anything

I had this same problem. I read somewhere to unplug the Wii for a minute so that when you turn it back on it will have to reload the bluetooth data from the firmware. Worked immediately for me. Hope this helps.
