I am trying to program my Time Warner Cable UR5U-8520L-TWB with my Sony AV System - model DAV-DX170. The remote for my Sony AV System is RM-ADU001. I have tired all the codes in the manual provided by Time Warner and none of them work. Please provide me with the correct code answer.

I have a DAV DX170 and was able to program Spectrum remote UR5U 878OL I had to use the AUX button and the code is 317 Works great now.

Hey guys I was looking around as well ...I found a universal remote that actually worked A++++ .....the name is SONY multi brand remote commander RM-V210 the trick is try under the BOSE code it worked for me picked it up at Walmart for like $12 bucks..

To repair your original remote, open the remote and remove the buttons sectio.(normally a solid piece of rubber with the buttons) On the PC board of the remote, clean with a scotchbrite scourer to revive the circuits and make it shiny. Next, clean the rubber button section on the inside with surgical spirits. Replace cover and fit new batteries.
