I need to replace this thrust bearing kit in my maytag washer and need assistant/help/information in doing that.
any special tools required to do the job, can I do it myself.
Yes you can do it yourself no special tools are need just a couple good flathead screwdrivers and a lot of patiance be sure to put all the new washers and bearing back on in the same order the old ones came off putting the C clip on can be a little tricky but take you time and it can be done you may hvw to use the flat head to pry on the trans. shaft to get the clip in the groove then use a pair of chanell locks or pliers to snap it on if you get a new style bearing it may not look like the one you take off and not have all he washers just snap the small plastic pice onto the bearing put it on the the pulley the most of the time just the thin washe then the C clip the dust cover put belt back on the test machine
I replaced the thrust bearing kit with no problem, however my maytag model MAV4758AWW still not spinning right. After I replaced the bearings the tub spins but very weak. It will stop in the middle of the spin by itself or if I open the lid while spinning it will not spin any more for thay cycle . Can some one advice?

I went Through changing the transmission and seal kit Atlantis Series 17 High Torque PN# 21001867 with 21001868. Because of this no spin problem. Only to find out that it was the thrust bearing 12002213 that was shot.
after replacing new bearings and pulley cant adjust cam properly both flat washers are to thick
