Your GE TV most likely doesn't have anything but a antenna input on it? If that the case to connect a DVD player you must purchase a RF modulator to convert the video and audio output of a DVD player to a channel 3 or 4 output. Here is a link for one at Radio Shack.

If you have the original remote controller, try to switch inputs. It must be on the f-connection ( coaxial) at the moment. You need to switch it to RCA or S-Video Inputs.
SOURCE: does this tv have A/V jacks?
I don't have a specific product but there should be a 4- or more-way selector for the red+white+yellow RCA connectors to feed the TV. It may even have 2 outputs so you can use it for both TV and VCR or later a DVD+-R. If you only need one source you would be able to send it to a Radio Shack 4-way output amplifier to send one signal to all inputs including S-video. Look for each of these at $20 or so if you don't mind manual switching. -Ken

Yes, To change the input to video jacks, you must change the channel to 00.
