Sim lock

PUK means "personal unlocking key" .

The PUK code is asked if you enter a wrong pin 3 times.

The PUK code is a code associated with the SIM card and not with the phone

.

You have only two ways to get rid of the PUK code. Either you replace the SIM card , or you call phone provider

that issued the sim cadr (eg. At&T, Virgin, Tmobile , Vodafone, Telecom etc.)

You need to call the phone company that released the SIM card, they can retrieve the PUK code from a database

for free.

In your case you need to contact your SIM

card provider technical support to unlock the SIM.

The PIN and PUK are related to the SIM card, not to the phone.

If you replace the SIM card with a different one, then the phone will not ask for the PUK anymore

Default Pin & Security Codes for SIM cards

A number of networks still use a default pin on their SIM cards at the point of dispatch as a security precaution. If you lose or forget the PIN code it can be irritating.

Please note these PIN's will only work if you have NOT changed the default PIN. If you enter the PIN code incorrectly three times, a lock will be put onto the SIM card, and you need a PUK code to unlock it.

You can obtain your PUK by contacting your network service provider.

Default Network PIN Codes:

O2 = 0000/4321

Orange = 1111

Vodafone = 0000

Fresh = 1210

Virgin Mobile = 7890 / 1210

Vodafone = 0000

Talkmobile = 0000

3 = 0000

To use Data (the Internet) they just need to enable the service for you. As long as you are not on Aircraft Mode, it is there are soon as you are off WiFi.

I bought this phone in Australia on the Virgin network. I live in Canada and have received the code to unlock the phone but I do not have SIM card from a network in Canada, can I still unlock the phone.

You do not need a SIM card from Canada: just use any non-Virgin/non-Optus SIM card (e.g. free pre-paid SIM card from Vodafone could be used) to force the prompt for your Unlock code.

I bought a bb storm 9550 off ebay which has vodafone on it i tried to get it unloked for t-mobile but it may be blocked - what can i do

Hello,

It looks like the telephone is SIM locked.

If you go to Options > Advanced Options > SIM Card and type MEPD.

This will bring up another screen. If the Network option shows "Disabled" then it is unlocked.

If its locked go back to the seller or buy an unlock code online.

You need to get your Nokia phone unlocked for all networks and for that you need to contact Vodafone to get the unlock codes.

your service provider must give you the code.

You may tell them that you are switching providers and legally they MUST give you that code.

you could also try a local cell phone shop (generic one) and have them ask for the code for you.

Need samsung g600 unlocking code

I have just tried it with my new locked to orange g600 and it works fine on all networks.

1-Turn on the phone without sim card .
2-Pull off the battery cover and insert any non-accepted sim card (without turning off the handset)
3-Do full reset *2767*3855# , phone will reboot and goes to Menu .
4-Customize Sp-lock code *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#
5-Unlock your phone with new SP code #7465625*638*00000000#
6-Enjoy G600 unlocked
if it doesn't work after step 3.. try changing the 'non-accepted' sim card that ur putting in..
eg if you are locked to vodafone and you try this method and use an orange sim card and it doesn't work, try using a o2 sim or even virgin :)

some other phone lock to a single network, sometimes cannot be open by using codes, if you really want to open it safely, it is advisable to bring it to a cellphone repair shop and have it open there, they are using flashing box and software.

unlocking phones thru codes has a limitation, some are allowed only to enter 3 times others are 5 times, more than that can damaged your software and might kill your phone.

it is better to be safe than sorry, Have your phone open line by the proper technician
