Differentiating omega model 2561.80 and a model 2531.80

I bought what I thought was a 2561.80 on ebay. I had the watch authenticated at a reputable jeweler and it is indeed an omega watch with automatic movement. My research brings me to the 2561.80 as having a quartz movement and the 2531.80 an automatic. Can you help me varify what model I actually own. Thanks, Kris

Kris, the 2561.80 is a mid-sized (36mm case width) quartz bond seamaster. its second hand will tick every second and is powered by a battery. the 2531.80 on the other hand is 41mm in width and it's automatic. no batteries needed. the second hand would be sweeping as oppose to the ticking quartz movement. the face would have a "chronograph" word on it.

Kris,
The only way to find out what model of Omega you actually own is to open it.  This should have been done by whoever you already brought it to.  Omega only prints their model #'s on the movement inside the watch.  If you open the watch, look on the movement, you'll know what model you own.

I have antique womans gold nugget bulova watch with 014ko and 890643 on the back of the watch should I throw this away

Don't throw it away! Bulova have a good reputation. It ma not be worth much, but you have the serial number and the 14k probably means it's 14 carat gold. 14 carat old is the highest quality used for watches (18 carat is too soft for everyday wear) I used to work for Shackman and we made watch cases and bracelets for the major brands such as Omega.

Trysearching for Bulova watches on eBay then looking at 'completed listings' under 'advanced' after you search for some idea of value.

Dear Sir, I have one of the above Omega Seamasters which was bought in June 2007. Since then the bracelet has fallen apart 4 times now and Swatch want me to pay for a new one. Is this normal for a bracelet...

Hi dunphysteven

It is not normal that the bracelet falls so often.
There seems to be an issue with the product. However the warranty period in most cases is limited to 2-3 years, which unfortunately has crossed in your case.
Therefore in this case u need to pay for the bracelet.

Alternatively you can sell your watch on ebay or some other similar site with the mention that bracelet is an issue.

Hope this helps you.

Watch is about 6 years old. Went in for a "clean and service". Running a little slow but otherwise ok.Cost $350.00. for clean/service. Now it stops intermittently. Been back to repairer four...

All decent watch repairers should issue at least 6 months warranty on their craftsmanship. If the watch repairer can not resolve the problem and your watch is still stopping, you can ask for full refund. Next time save your nerves and time - find on the web where your nearest Omega dealer is and bring the watch to them. It may take quite a lot of time and cost dearer, but you will have your watch serviced at proper Omega workshop and will get original Omega warranty.

Can you tell me if this is a genuine Cartier number. I am watching a Cartier Tank Francaise, there are no papers - but the seller is states that the back of the watch is engraved -cartier-water resistant -...

"The seller states" ? Why did the seller not provide you pix of the back of the watch ? I would be VERY skeptical about this. If you really want a Cartier, you can buy one used from a number of reputable websites, such as TimeZone.com and Chrono24.com; there are verified reputable sellers there you can buy from. Note the prices on these sites; they are what these watches really cost used, usually a very good indication of whether a timepiece is authentic or not. BE CAREFUL on Ebay ! :(

I found an Omega X-33 on ebay with no operating

It certainly appears that the item is exactly as described and if shipped quickly, then it looks like Five Star Positive Feedback is in order.

Now on to the display:

They also have repair centers listed, prices, etc...

Nike triax speed WR0082 regular

You must Re-Link the SDM pod to the watch after changing the battery. Go to the link below, It's not the exact model, but, should work, if not, go to www.nike.com and download the manual for your model.
GOOD LUCK
