My internet isnt working

make sure the ethernet cables are plugged in correctly and that you for sure have live internet service.Try new cables also,and then last thing to do is replace the modem.

When i plug it up it acts like its going to work goes through the motion all lights come on for a very short time the lights are right to left internet,pc link,cable link,cable activity and message all...

Disconnect the modem from the internet, your computers and anything else except power then boot it up again. Does anything at all change?

If nothing changes perform a soft reset... which prolly means leaving the modem powered up, poking a paper-clip into a tiny hole and whipping it right back out. When it comes on, does anything at all change?

If not either call the modem supplier or your internet service provider, or perform a hard reset; remembering that a hard reset will destroy all your settings.

Almost certainly, if a modem fails to work after a hard reset and following whatever advice your supplier or ISP offer, it needs replacing.

-Unable to access the router's webpage. -The router is 'trying' connect to modem (modem light flashing, internet light off) despite the fact it's already connected.

Have to unplug router and modem to reset both for approx. 2 min. Then plug in modem first let that reset and all lights come back on (except router light) then when that has finished booting do the same with the router. It should work.

The Modem is on and all of the wires are connected correctly, but all of the lights are on and not blinking except for the internet which is completely off. It won't connect to my computer at all now

If your internet light is off. It means you need to contact you internet provider because they need to configure your modem/router for your username and password. You can only get that information from your internet provider.

Contact your cable-modem Internet Service Provider.

Constantly blinking Activity light

Well, you are very correct with the activity light blinking and the increased blinking except the fact that modem will encounter a problem in future...
The 5 different lights on your modem namely Power, Ethernet, DSL, Internet and Activity have their own indications and explanations.
1. The Activity Light indicates the amount of activity that is takin place on the computer on the Internet though the activity might blink even when you are not browsing. This can be explained by stating that the computer constantly keep sending signals  about it being connected to the internet and any other acknowledgements..

So, you've got nothing worry about unless the Power or the Ethernet or the DSL or the Internet light Blinks....
Cause they are the resultants of a fried modem(check for the adapter), faulty LAN connections, interrupted Dsl line and the account verification failure indications respectively.....

ST516v6 Modem has all lights except the Internet.

Check your IP address, go to start... run... cmd... and type in ipconfig... if your ip address is 169.xxx.xxx.xxx then you need to troubleshoot on your computer.. get a local tech to help you out.. if not then the ip should be 192.168.1.xxx thats the residential gateway....

No internet light

Hi, Other than just the lights turning on, you have to verify that your PC can see and communicate with your modem. But being in another region, I cannot give you specific details. However, this site might be of help with install instructions > http://www.fsr.com/pages/support.asp?ItemID=186 If this does not solve the problem, you may have to call Verizon and request for service.
