Press pause button again, wait for it to respond
(make sure door is closed)

if that doesn't work, press and hold pause button until something happens.

if that doesn't work, power off, then restart

if pause is on all the time, and never resets, even after power down/up your button is stuck/broken, fix/replace button or panel.

There is a button that says # pause. I know its' use but what if you need to hit # by itself to store a command such as your password such as "pass hit #?

the pause option on # requires a function key to be pressed at the same time to use the pause feature. if you just press the # button alone, it is just a normal # button.

Sony MDS-JE 480 'Auto Pause' capability

Most of these decks will simply STOP recording after 22 seconds of no analog or 6 seconds of no digital input; I have not heard of the Auto Pause feature.

Sony mds je480 dont know how to switch auto pause off

Most Sony MD's 'Auto Pause' feature can only be turned on & off with the remote. I am still unsure whether this is a feature on the JE480. I am led to believe that it is however you will need an older model's remote to turn it on & off. You need to locate the 'A-Space' button and press until 'A Pause' appears in the display. You can now turn it on or off. Good luck.

Is there a way that I could PAUSE and CONTINUE?

The camera does not have a pause feature when shooting movie clips. You depress the shutter button to start the movie and then depress the shutter button to stop the movie.

Long pause changing channels

This is the muting feature. Many of these TV's use this to avoid showing noise and putting noise out to the speakers.

Run the auto-setup from the menu. This should allow the set to know the channel layout, and thus it may respond faster. Consult the user book for the auto-setup or auto-channel features.
