If you have (visegrips) use one on the shaft, and one on the fan shaft, use a little penetrating oil on the shaft, move both part in opposite directions, this should loosen up the fan from the shaft, it might take a while and sometimes it is not an easy task ! Please do not try to beat the shaft out, as this will mushroom the shaft and you will never get the fan off, another alternative is to buy a new fan blade, hope that helped

Squeaking fan

Try unplugging the fridge, spraying the fan motor with WD-40 -- everywhere you can reach -- then plugging it back in.

Air conditioner blower will not work, no blown fuses and power to the fan motor. Bad fan motor? How to change?

If there is 12 volts or more to the fan and there is sufficient ground then yes the Fan motor is bad. Sometimes you can tap in the area where the fan is and the fan might come on while you have the ignition and A/C on. The fan is located near the front passengers fett underneath. It is about 4 or 5 7mm or 9/32 screws remove them all and disconnect the electrical connection to the fan. When you buy a new motor you might have to change out the blade, very easy. Just pop out the center clip and you might have to tap the center spline with a ball peen hammer to seperate the motor from the blade.

Fan does not work

If you haven't replaced the fan, just do that. It's pretty cheap and there's only 3 bolts holding it in place. Just get the motor and use the plastic fan piece from the old blower motor. It will save you a couple dollars.

If you have replaced the fan and it still doesn't work. Then I don't know.

Fan top back of unit is on and off continuely and making noise as in a failing bearing. I have removed the retaining screws, however the wiring has no disconnect to permit removal from the fan. Otherwise...

Unplug unit. Find name plate info on back of fan. It may be a 6 watt stamped CW. The rotation on small watt motors is based on looking at it from the "lead" end or rear of motor. You will have to cut the cord, WHEN UNIT IS UNPLUGGED. A new fan motor can be connected to the old cord with wire nuts. Install old blade on new fan motor.

Wiring of outside unit. I replaced old fan moltor with 3 pole 5.0/35 MFD cap. New motor has 2 pole cap. Where do I wire the purple wire from the compressor that went to the 3rd term of the old cap???

You need either another dual capacitor (three pole)
or you need to use the "herm" side of the old capacitor. That would be the 35UF side going to the compressor.

You will need to make up a jumper wire.
if you are going to use the two seperate capacitors.

The old fan wire to the old cap (5UF side) will go to either side of the new cap. The old compressor wire will go to the "HERM" side of the old cap. The common wires will remain on the old cap in the original "COM" position. The jumper will go from the old cap "COM" terminal, to the new cap on the other terminal opposite from the one used for the fan wire.

Condensor fan runs after compressor shuts off

If new motor is 4 wire verses 3 wire use seperate capacitor between brown wires and don't use terminal on 3 pole cap. If this motor has a white strip on one brown wire you can wire it the old way using only 1 brown wire and tape off the other. Can't remeber this morning which brow wire to use . I need to leave. Goole replacemotor with 2 brown wires for more info or call where you bought it. Sorry got to run.

Whinning noise

Evaporator fan motor is located in the freezer compartment behind the back wall. To access it you must remove the shelves and the back wall which is held in place by screws. Then you can remove the old fan motor and install a new one in the reverse order that you used to remove the old motor.
