Funai dvd player remote control code needed - Funai Televison & Video

If you do not have the original remote and have bought a 'universal' remote, there may not be any codes for your unit.
The player may be newer than the remote so its codes could not be included.

The best site for any remote control question is this:

They have code lists for about every remote ever made and can supply originals as well.

Unfortunately, you will not be able to program your TV remote for the DVD Player. The MDV2100F7 was produced in 2010. Your Philips TV was has a manual with a copywrite date of 2003. Other documentation on the Philips site is from 2004 and 2006. (I am assuming that the MDV2100F7 is your model since no MDV21001F7 is listed at Magnavox or Funai (which made the unit).)

The codes in a universal remote control are only for devices released 6 months or more before the remote was programmed. A DVD player released 4 years later is likely to have a different set of control frequencies.

You need a newer remote or control everything with separate remotes. I wish that I had better news for you.

Element TV ELEFT422 can be controlled by Sony BluRay Player remote model # RMT-B118A by entering the code 04 (same as Goldstar and LG TVs)

Try codes for Funai. Symphonic might be made by Funai.

Remotes are set to the DVD recorder in the REMOTE. It is difficult to control a DVD recorder with a universal remote except for basic functions. The remote manual needs to list the DVD Recorder or a similar Funai model to control it. Try different Funai codes from your remote book. One might work for minimal stop, play, pause, etc.

I found that on the back of the 2205 it said that the unit was made by Funai. I looked in the Innovage book and found that the codes for Funai DVD are 231 and 233. 233 worked on mine. Good luck. 

I have a Magnavox dvd/vcr player and a Phillips universal remote. I was able to get the two to talk to each other by using the code for the brand Funai. This was discovered by entering the model number on google and searching. Magnavox must use their name on the unit but it is in fact a Funai dvd/vcr player.
