It moveds around the screen with the moving picture. Also, this glittery pixels effect is more noticeable around those sections of the picture that have black color.. Please change the T-CON board, if it did not fix the problem, you may have a defective LCD Panel.

Check your component cables. You have 3 colors coming in. Red,Green and Blue. Make sure the Red cable is good. You can do this by substituting the red cable only, or just change all 3 cables

SOURCE: LCD picture distortion.

This is caused by a failure of the main board. The failure causes the refresh rate of the unit to be off creating a trailing or ghost effect. This will require a technician to replace that board though. Hope this help.

SOURCE: Rainbow color effect appears when Samsung LCD plays Wii or DVD

Hello, I have a question which video inputs are you using for your DVD and Wii connections? The reason I ask is because this sounds like video distortion cuased by noise. If possible can you send a picture of the screen when it has this problem and send which video ports are being used? If it is noise in the video you may have a saw filter problem, or a decoupling issue. In any event I'll know more once you send those pictures and which inputs you are using for your DVD and Wii. Thank you, Shuttle83 http://www.electron-age-technologies-llc.com [email protected]

Samsung LCD LN52A650AF - Glittery Red Green Screen Pixelations that moves around with changing figures on the picture

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
Before going further; try a hard reset first. If it does not help you, replace the main digital board. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here.

Discolored Sides

Hi,Yes your problem sounds like the DMD board. This is how it works: http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/dlp1.htm Basically the light of the lamp goes through a tunnel that carries a color wheel(rotating disc with a gamma of colors that creates the colors on your tv)then the light of the lamp goes through the DMD board which is a chip composed of around 2 million pixels that creates the images and colors. When it starts to fail it will create black bars, pixelation, color distortion or white dots on screens.Ths if your tv is a dlp if its a Lcd it will be an issue with your light engine: Here's how your tv works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLLHnQ4y-wo Basically there's 3 LCD chips that create the colors and image by blending together. When these chips start to melt you will get those blue spots, pixilation even vertical lines. You will need to replace the light engine. Have a blessed one!

LCD Displaying Red instead of Black, Vertical Lines in Display

I had a similar problem where the screen went to a pink shade periodically. Sony sent me a memory stick, with download instructions, that fit into one of the back ports. The problem has gone away. It was a software correction.

Red pixels on the Srceen

Dead or stuck pixels are not uncommon in LCD displays, and the less you pay, the more likely it is to happen (as a general rule) Most manufacturers will a dead pixel warranty, ranging from 7 days to lifetime.

Read your warranty carefully, and speak to the place where you bought your display.

I hope that helps, if you have any further problems, please add them ass comments to this question. If I have been able to answer your question (or not) please click on one of the ratings buttons to let everyone know how I did.
Thanks for your feedback, and good luck.

Vertical portion pixelats then forms solid vertical lines. Problem intermitent but persistant. The tv is 2 years old, if its the lcd panel is it worth repairing? I think I have the same problem with a...

Note
In some cases, there are minor defects in some parts of the screen. Points that do not light, points with
brightness different from that of the periphery, or points with color different from that of the periphery.
Some pixels will always be on or always off. Please note that this is not a malfunction. So what this says is that it's not the Plasma Cell problem, its more like a bad board inside. You will need more info like schematic and find out which area the bad part is in.
