Philips TV showing horizontal lines model 27pt6441/37
This TV is NOT that old and has began showing while horizontal lines at the top. I have a picture of the problem located at the following url. Thank you for any help whatsoever. I fixed a panasonic tv by going into service tech mode on the set, but have not seen the option gfir this one. Picture located at:

You likely have an elevtrlytic capacitor bad on the B+ line to the vertical ouput ic. If you continue to use the set like this it is likely the vertical ouput ic will fail.

If your getting a single set of horizontal lines showing up on your TV screen lately then there is something wrong with the internal parts either a loose internal video cable or an issue with the graphics system. Broken signals from the graphics hardware or cables help pictures to show up on the TV's screen.

Check capicitor in vertical hold circuit. You should have solid knowledge of electronics repair before attemping repair. TV's can emmit harmful radiation, and produce voltages up to or in excess of 30kV.
Sounds like you have a power supply filtering problem. Perhaps a filter capacitor is going bad. If your set has a switching power supply
oscillations from it are getting into the video.
You need to have a tech to check it out for you. You should get an estimate first before having it repaired.
