I had similar problem out of the box; fixed by setting Function to Style Volume and adjusting upward.

Where and how can I buy a replacement keyboard for Yamaha CVP 305M? Thanks, Michael

There is a well documented problem that occurs with the keybed on some of these models due to a manufacturing fault. Take a look at the keys that are sticking. Is the gap on either side of the key the same ? If not then the key normally leans slightly to the left rubbing on the adjacent key causing the sluggish action. The fixing tab at the back of the key breaks causing the spring pressure to push sideways.

You can just replace the offending key but the problem will eventually return. You could replace the whole keybed but this is a very expensive fix.

Keys are around £ 15.00 each.
Replacement keybeds around £ 450.00

How do I recover the accompaniment?

When you press the accomp button does it show up in screen?

If not you have a button/switch issue.

Try a master reset - hold down top / highest note whilst turning on.

This will factory reset and may clear the issue.

Can I hit one key to play a chord and how do I do it

It depends exactly on the model of keyboard you have but in short look for the accompaniment button normally on the left hand side. With this pressed you can then get 1 finger chords in the left hand ( 2 fingers will give minor or 7th options ) check your handbook

Yamaha PSR S900 keyboard failure, in touch response mode when I hold one key (G) and touch another the second key produces a sound that is full volume just as if the "touch response mode "...

That is NOT touch response, but velocity sensing. Each key has two contacts and one closes before the other to facilitate measuring the key velocity. In your case, it sounds like the key you are holding down has a bad disconnect diode in the key matrix and is holding the "first contact" signal true so the next key senses max closure speed. If you are not electronically adept, you need to take it in for servicing... however first tip the thing and vibrate it as some contamination MAY be shorting a line in the key matrix. Staples and paper clips are notorious problems with keyboards when they get into the key area.

No sound from Yamaha keyboard

Hi,
Since your keyboard works fine with the PC. That means the problem is with the keyboard's Speaker. Either your speaker cable or speaker itself is not working... you have to identify that whether the problem is of speaker wire or speaker.... see that whether the service manual of your gadget is available or not.. if available then purchase the same. It will help you a lot for while repairing
Hope this has helped you....
Thanks...

From left hand side 10 keys not working

You might check settings first. The keyboard might be set to a mode where those keys have some function besides notes. Try a master reset and see if hings start working.

If it was working and now those keys don't, a fault has probably developed. There may be problems with connections to the keyboard, or there's been a component failure.

Sometimes getting into these things and accessing the keyboard is a challenge, and it's possible to do more harm than good. If it needs repair, you're probably better off taking the keyboard to a musician's store in your area and asking them to give you an estimate for the work (or to recommend a servicer if they don't do the work themselves).

YamahaDGX-220 YPG-225

Do a factory reset. First try pressing the + and - buttons simultaneously.

Look in your user manual for a complete factory reset and do that.
