I would like to transfer photos and music and maybe some apps to the external sd card I bought to save space on the tablet. I downloaded an app which tells me what apps can be moved but there is no button showing that it refers to - to move to the sd card. i think it perhaps only works on the mobile phones?
SOURCE: i cannot connect my samsung
If connecting the Tab to the computer with the cable and then correctly mounting the SD Card through Android (tap notification, follow steps) does not work, try a third-party app like On Air to connect over-the-air.
Hope this helps,
Alistair

Hi!
First of all in user's guide manual says that this tablet works just fine with only 3 IM : 1.Google Talk; 2. Windows Live Messanger 3. Yahoo! Messanger.
Try one of those to see if the camera button appears.
However, if you need more information you can find them here: ( http://www.userguidemanual.com/samsung-galaxy-tab-gt-p1000-tablet-manual-user-guide-french-english/ ).
*This link allouds you to read and download free user's guide manual (in PDF format).
I hope this will work!
Have a nice day!
SOURCE: moving apps onto sd card
Hi in order to move apps to sd card you need place the sd card in your tablet go to settings then applications. On the next screen you've got the list of downloaded apps just clik on one of them and then properties screen come up on which in the second row you will see button move to sd card. Just press on it wait few seconds and your apps is moved. Repeat this for every app but bear in mind that some of the apps can't be moved to sd card Regards
Note: These steps clear data from the device. SD card data like your photos and music are not erased unless you choose to format the SD card.
2. Release the Power button when you see the Samsung logo, but continue to hold Volume Upuntil the recovery screen appears.
3. Use the Volume buttons to navigate the menu and select wipe data / factory reset. PressHome to choose the selection.
4. Press Volume Up continue.
The Galaxy Tab should then go through the hard reset process.
If you have access to the OS, you can also perform a hard reset in Settings.
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Select Privacy.
3. Choose Factory data reset.
