Connie, this can be easy if you know the product. The drum will have to be removed and then the ball bearing casing.just make sure you re assemble it correctly.
This model dryer has two heating elements, one for the top and one for the bottom, I suspect that the bottom element is burned out. If you want to attempt it yourself then I can send you a service manual that will walk you step by step through the whole dryer.
Unplug dryer. Remove heater element, and inspect element for damage. Use an ohm meter to check for continuity. Should have some resistance. Should not be open or short.

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.
there are no screws.the lid needs to be lifted by placeing a flat tip screw driver and push the clips in on the front they are located about one inch in from either side of the dryer push them in and the lid will pop up
normally the entire shell minus the front comes off as one single unit. there are screws all the way around the back edges that will release the entire thing

often if the power is cut off when its restored the sudden punch of power can blow the bords chips up,
its nothing new,, if they has a soft start it would not happen to them,,
