the triger contacts could be fouled. clean the contacts if it doesn"t work you can order a new trigger assembly from hitachi---ACE hardware may even carry this
Your batteries may be old or some of the cells may be no good. Dis-assemble and check each cell individually. You can replace bad cells as they're very inexpensive.
