E247 The software counter memory PCB and the software counter value stored in SRAM are found inconsistent are you try to adjust the machine counter reading? That is Canon security features you cannot adjust counter by replacing soft counter board
E354 •When turning ON the power, inconsistency of the serial No. of the serial number PCB and that of the controller PCB (SRAM)/counter memory is detected. •When turning ON the power, it is detected that no serial numbers are assigned to the serial number PCB and the controller PCB (SRAM)/ counter memory , if you are try to change the counter pcb to get rid of high meter reading this error is possible, this a security measure of canon to prevent meter tampering
Press the counter check button. What counters do you see. There can be up to 6 different ones I believe. What counter numbers do you see e.g. 101: Total 1
Counters to display can be set using Service Mode. Press Additional Functions > 2,8 > Additional Functions.
Copier > Option > User > COUNTER1,COUNTER2,COUNTER3,COUNTER4,COUNTER5,COUNTER6
Default's are COUNTER1: 101, COUNTER2: 103, COUNTER3: 201, COUNTER4: 203. COUNTER5, COUNTER6 none.
You could try entering those counters.
The counters could have been reset. It is apparently possible but certainly not advisable to do so without permission from Canon.
